I’m not a fan of white trucks…but this rig w 50k miles for $30k seems like a good deal…but not sure if I can get past the white…& the long bed…long bed seems over kill…butay be good to camp out of with a cap on….& I wud need to find a cap too. Btw…the decal on rear says….Punisher Edition…wtf is that?

anyone have these long bed trucks?

I have a long bed. It is my first ever long bed, but it definitely won't be my last.

If you actually do truck stuff, it is stupidly useful. It tows a bit nicer due to the increased length. It is excellent for camping - you can just throw a top on it and you have enough room to stretch out and still sleep comfortably.

Admittedly, parking can be a pain, but its really only a big problem in parking garages. Elsewhere you can work around it.

I would have a crew cab long bed if I could. A long bed is a massive pro, not a con.

The truck pictured looks like a solid deal. If I could have found that when I was looking I likely would have bought it.

There's no Punisher Edition lol it's someone's custom graphics.

That being said I wish my DC had an 8' bed.

The 2nd/2.5 gen Tundra is the best half ton long bed you can get if you want a crew cab. The "double cab" of that generation was the perfect balance of leg room vs cab/bed size. The 2022+ double cab has significantly less leg room. The only way you'll find a better crew cab long bed is moving up to a 3/4 or 1 ton from the big three.

My Dad has a 2010 DCLB. Total land yacht of a truck, extremely stable when towing with that long wheelbase.

Yeah, I've got one. Echo all sentiments from above. Having all that space is awesome. I can carry multiple kayaks, gear for several people on ground hunting/fishing expeditions, and whatever else I need to haul. It's my first pickup and after this I can't ever see myself having anything less.

I grew up learning to drive in a town car so I'm not really a stranger to big/wide vehicles, just none this tall. It was a learning curve but it's easy, and the turning radius is remarkably tight for such a long vehicle. It's worse than the escape I used to drive but not by much.

Personally, I'd take white over mine (steel gray or whatever it's called), reflects light + heat, holds up well in the sun, yeah it'll look dirty but I couldn't care less about that as long as it's not rusting.

Sucks you lost out on it. There's some available still if you're willing to travel. The 8' beds are very rare.

I think I became a long bed guy after this incident…but it took me too long to realize it and I missed out. Any tips how to find another one?? The one I saw was bought in a week and was being shipped out of state….NJ

I already sent PM too. Lol.

“8’ bed” is a good search term for you to filter on various sites like Autotrader, CarGurus, etc.

Yeah. You'll probably have to travel to find one. I searched Edmunds, 2016-2021, under 15k miles odo, anywhere in the country, nearest to me was I think 300ish miles away. But they're all for a decent price, much faster than a crewmax or standard bed. If you want one I'd just travel to get it.

Thanks Red!! I noticed the LBs are better priced. Probably less popular. I only see 2 regularly driving around my town with an approximate population of 100k people!! I wud be willing to travel or have shipped.

Yeah sure thing. I live in Florida and I traveled to Connecticut for my vehicle, as I have folks in PA so if the deal went south I'd be fine walking away. You're right, these are a lot less popular. I've seen like 5-6 other 2.5gen long bed tundras, and a handful of 2nd gen rclbs. I've seen a total of 2 3rd gen long beds. That's ever since I bought my truck last August. Toyota makes more crewmaxes than anything else, I think. Large cabin and short bed is what the market wants, it seems.

All the options are there on web browser, on phone you won't see all the options.

2016-2021, under 20K miles, dclb yields 9 listings nationwide. Most at or under $42K. All SR or SR5 though. That wouldn't dissuade me.

The Barcelona Red one looks super hot. I wouldn't ever pay extra for color but that looks awesome. In a perfect world, I'd have a dark Kelly green (I know not available). It's the color of my dad's old F350 that he drove pretty much everywhere in the country with.

I had mods on a Tacoma n 4 runner n they never ran great after mods…so I vowed always to stay stock….but after seeing your rig I cud go back too!! Lol

TBH I wouldn't mod anything unless you had a functional requirement that a mod would provide. Especially when it involves suspension.

I kinda wish I had a bench seat too, would be better for excursions as I could sleep in the front if I had to, but I don't think you can get the 38 gallon tank with a bench seat because it's part of the SR5 upgrade package? Not sure on that
