Going to need a little more info to go off.
What year. What trim. I’m assuming that’s the passenger side engine bay junction box and firewall I’m looking at.

I'd like to ask what the fuck happened, but I'm almost afraid to know. Rodents?

Starting with the 2011 manual, you want to go to the section "3.0 Location & Routing" and find the 3UR-FE section for the Engine Compartment (starts on page 528).
First, look at the Ground Points sheet (page 528) because it identifies the names of the different harnesses - in your case, this is the cyan colored one, which is the Engine Room Main Wire.
Next, you need to go through the remaining pages of the "Engine Compartment <3UR-FE, 3RU-FBE>" section and denote the connector names for each of the connectors (plugs) that are associated with that wiring harness in that area. Check all the pages, because if things are too packed up they will put them on additional pages. Note that connectors with a single letter are regular plugs (plugged into something)*, while connectors with two letters are "Wire and Wire" connectors - they join one harness to another. *The asterisk here is because there are a few cases where a "junction connector" with a single letter does connect two different harnesses together...sort of. It does it through a junction block of some kind.

On page 529, I see connectors A24 and A45 in that area.
On page 530, it lists what those connectors are for - A24 goes to the ECM, and A45 is a Junction Connector (this is not the same as a wire-wire connector, but later on you will find that it does actually "junction" to connector D73).
The next couple pages show the shapes of the connectors on that first diagram page.
Moving on to page 539, I see connectors D71, D72, and D73 all go into that box that is part of the main harness (but are on the green harness, not your cyan one).
Then on page 543, we see Wire-Wire connectors named RA1, RA2, RA3 (*1 denotes only for the 3UR-FE non-flex fuel engine), RA4 (*2 denotes this is only on 3UR-FBE flex fuel engines), and DA1.
Pages 544 and 545 show us what those connectors look like (note that all diagrams and numbers are looking at the OPEN END of the connector, not the end the wires come into).

You can continue digging through the Location & Routing section to find all of the other connectors associated with that harness, both within the engine bay and within the cabin (Instrument Panel) - and eventually you probably will need to trace out most of those connectors. But my next step would be to start hunting these connectors down in the System Circuit section. You will want a good PDF reader for this, and then you'll go to the System Circuit section and search for a connector name (like A24). You'll get a hell of a list:
    upload_2022-7-22_21-40-14.jpg

Checking the first one takes us to the "ABS, Auto LSD, TRAC, VSC" diagram, and highlights the Engine Control Module. Things to note. The circle with the "A" is used when more than one connector exists at a particular component. In the component name, the matching connector will have the matching letter in ( ) after the connector name. So A24(A) on the Engine Control Module means that when you see a blue box denoting the Engine Control Module, any wire that lands to a circle with an "A" in it is coming into the A24 connector. The number next to the wire is the pin number. And the colors are explained in the general "how to use" section posted separately (also usually easy to tell from the diagram color). So, in this case, A24 Pin 11 will have a white wire that is the CANL signal to the Engine Control Module, and Pin 10 will be a gray wire for CANH.
    upload_2022-7-22_21-41-14.jpg

The other ends of those wires will go to a Wire-Wire connector called AJ5 at pins 22 and 21. You can then go back to the "Location & Routing" section and find that connector in the diagrams and this will give you the other end to check continuity with a multi-meter to see if those wires are part of your compromised wires or not.

Staying with A24, the next search result was the Air Conditioning diagrams. Here, we see the Engine Control Module again, and A24 is "A" again (this should remain consistent throughout the entire set of diagrams). We see Pins 10 and 11 that we already found above, but we now also see Pin 17 is a red wire to ACT (coming from the AC controls) and Pin 19 is a beige wire for AC1 (again from the AC controls). Both of these wires also route through the Wire-Wire connector of AJ5 (pins 12 and 13), so you can now start to build a map of how you would check continuity of a series of wires from one connector to another.
    upload_2022-7-22_21-46-51.jpg

Keep trucking down the list until you have hunted down every wire that is terminated in A24 (it has 60 spots, but that doesn't mean they are all filled). Then move on to the next connector and so forth.

From there, once you've identified the wires that are compromised, you'll have to determine how you want to repair them - solder in a patch between the two open ends (which could be even more challenging to hunt down) or run new wires (meaning you'll need to buy terminals and then de-terminate and re-terminate the connectors).

You have a daunting task in front of you. It may be easier to source a new harness, but I don't know that for sure. And I don't know how difficult routing the new harness, including the firewall penetrations/boots and all that would be.

    Good luck!

    Rainman,
Thank you for putting all this up here! I too joined this group just for the drawings. I have a 2019, Tundra and got an error code for the right rear wheel speed sensor failed. I replaced the sensor, but the code would not clear. I have just begun my search for the wire looking to figure out where it is open. This will give me a chance. Thank you very much!

RainMan, this is awesome stuff! Thanks for sharing. I've done a number of mods but all were pretty much plug and play. I've been trying to get the Sonar I installed to work on my 07 Tundra for a while. I think I've narrowed it down to a difference in the harness of 82142-0C020 and the 0C030 version. I'm hopping to find what I'm looking for in the manual.

RainMan Thanks again for posting the Tundra MY 2022 electrical sections earlier this year. They were a great help for my project. If you have the Tundra MY2022 Section 1.0 - Introduction and How To Use, can you please post that as well. I tried using the MY2021 Section 1.0 and it seems to be incompatible. Much appreciated!

The "Intro" section is more specifically tailored to how the EWD is navigated in the TIS subscription website. It is consistent across every EWD after they stopped making paper books (2006 for the Tundra). The pertinent information inside of the "Intro" section is the information about how to read the wiring diagrams, what the color designations mean, connector naming and labeling, symbol legends, etc. There is also a section on wire harness repair, including how to determinate various connectors

If you are looking for the full experience with hyperlinked terminal and connector diagrams, etc., then a two day subscription to TIS is the only way to go.

Thanks for explaining about the consistency of EWD's across the years. Upon further review of the 2021 Intro section 1 and the 2022 EWD sections, I found most of what I was looking for.
What I was hoping to find was a definition of wire size from the diagrams. Appears that Toyota does not identify that detail. Not a show stopper.

The TIS website has everything I will need for mechanical repairs and parts locations. Are these other manuals downloadable for offline use?

    Thanks in advance

They do, sort of, but not in the data that I pulled down for each model year because it takes hours to download and compile.
If you use TIS to look up a specific connector, then in the connector information it has the part number of the connector and the corresponding repair terminals. Those repair terminals have wire size and outer diameter (insulation) as well as terminal size shown in metric. I did download all of that information for the 2016-2021 diagrams, but it takes a lot of extra time because it is very manual.

Yes and no. The FRM (Factory Repair Manuals) are not formatted in a “book” format and there is not a direct “download” function for them in TIS. Rather, they are hyperlinked web pages, and the only option to download is to manually print each single section and that does not format the best (same issue with the connector details mentioned above) and the links don’t come through. It can be done, but is a tremendous amount of effort to print and then recompile into a single document, and they are thousands of pages.

    Hi there,

    2023 Tundra

Hoping to get some help understanding the schematic for the "forward recognition camera".
I am wanting to tap into a 12V supply for my valentine scanner. need 12V and Ground. Unfortunately, I do NOT have a power rear view mirror.
    Any help is much appreciated!

    Thank you!

    @dylancook207
This snip is from the "Pre-Collision System" schematic (page 585 of the 2022 System Circuit diagram). For the time being, I am assuming the 2023 is consistent with the 2022.
    upload_2022-12-5_14-13-55.jpg

The connector on the "Forward Recognition Camera" is S1 and looks like this:
    upload_2022-12-5_14-5-50.jpg

Pin numbers are when looking at the front (terminal) end of the connector, not where the wires enter the connector.

Pin 10 (GND) is ground - it runs through a jumpered connector (S17) and then through a paired junction (SI1 - passenger A pillar) before grounding at a ground point up behind the passenger dash.
Pin 7 (IGB) is ignition +12V - if you follow the line back to the previous page you will see that it sources from the 10A ECU-IGR No.2 fuse.

This is awsome. Thank you so much for this and all the work that must have gone into this. I'm having trouble using the diagrams locating my where my wires from my factory installed block heater go. (2011 tundra 5.7 4x4) Thing is, the plug wires from the heating element goes right up into the engine wiring harness. I can't for the life of me find where it goes so I can replace or find the darn cord to plug the block heater in. I've scanned through the files and there is no mention of the heater or wires. Any help would be much appreciated if possible. Cheers!

The block heater isn't a factory-installed option. It may have been "port installed" - but it isn't in the actual EWDs that I am aware of. All of the information I've seen, it's simply a red/orange plug connected to a heater rod that goes up inside a specific spot in the block. The other end is some heat-foil wrapped extension cord cable with a male 120V three-prong plug on the other end.

    Hi Casey,
I greatly appreciate all your work putting these docs together. I bought my 2015 Tundra Crewmax SR5 Limited several months ago and am trying to figure out and correct a couple of wiring issues I've come across. I hope you or someone on this thread can help me. my navigation system was replaced with a Power Acoustik PDN-621HB. It works except for the volume down control switch on the steering wheel which, instead of lowering the volume, changes the radio station to the next station to the left. I've included a diagram of wiring connections to PDN-621HB.PDN-621HB wiring connection.jpg Thank you for any info.

I'm definitely not qualified to really diagnose this, but I did just finish up installing a Kenwood radio and Maestro in my 2012 Tundra. I don't have steering wheel controls in mine, but what you're describing sounds to me like settings within your Power Acoustik or whatever interface has been installed between that radio and your factory wiring. With the Maestro units, the steering wheel control settings are all programmed using the Maestro software, you then flash those settings to the actual Maestro unit, then install. From there, the radio and steering wheel simply perform whatever specific functionality the Maestro has been programmed to do.

Do you have a Maestro box back behind the radio? Or some other interface module (I'm not exactly sure what other options there are)? If it's a Maestro, you would need to reprogram those settings using the Maestro software on a Windows PC, then reflash the actual unit afterwards using a USB connection. I don't have any experience with other interfaces (if others are available).

May or may not be helpful information, but figured I'd throw it out there.

I'm going to agree with @rainproofjeans

@pcdoctor911 there should be some kind of steering wheel control module between the HU and the steering wheel.

There are a few different manufacturers.
Most use iDatalink Maestro, Crux makes one as well.
I know when I flashed my Maestro it actually gives you options to designate certain steering wheel buttons to do certain things.
You'd need to pull the HU and see what exactly is back there.

    This is what I'm referring to;

This video describes the entire process of flashing the Maestro if that is what you have..

If you've never pulled the HU, it is pretty easy.

Thank you both for your input. Here's what I'm looking at. I don't see any interface.
