So while browsing the web I came across an interesting article which outlines a 2013 Ford F150 ecoboost owner's experience with that truck vs his experience with a 2nd generation Tundra.

There is some interesting stuff in here. Hint: if you want to see the end result, go to the last page, he has an update in there.

Typical Ford. Got all the bells and whistles to suck you in. Then falls apart before it gets to 100k.

That is exactly why I didn't go that route with a HD truck. To many of my friends were having problems keeping them on the road vs the dealership. No thanks.

I have said this a hundred times on this forum, so one more isn't gonna hurt:

The only 1/2 ton truck to purchase is a Tundra...period.

That's no laughing matter. I was neutered when I said "I do" 17 years ago. Once in a while she lets me borrow them. This is a serious man issue that hasn't gotten the attentions thru fundraisers and ribbons :(

That has to be the saddest story I have heard this week Jose. Maybe you should get your truck pained MGM. :D

    That works to.

I'm buying another Softopper for my truck today. My kids can crash in that with the truck bedz air mattress. After my last overnight stay in southern CO at Blanca, I'm not sleeping in the cab of the truck again.

I was planning on trying to sleep in the cab next time out. What was bad about it Chris?

Funny thing is we both had tents and he actually has a softopper but didn't bring it. It was just a long day.

My seats are super comfy, and it was storming outside off and on, but I like a little room to roll around I guess, and be dry.

Not sure how big of a guy you are but I've done it a few times and Im 6'3 220. It worked but I don't think I would recommend it either. Just too tight in there for me. Would have had a hard time falling asleep had it not been for the adult beverages...

My 16 is at 92k I should be good for a couple weeks till it starts throwing rods at 100.
Also the tundra seat is pretty easy to sleep on. Back seat of the double cab not bad either. Obviously you gotta be really tired to fall asleep like that but it beats a single cab any day.

I've done the rear seat fold down mod and I have a 4" memory foam mattress that fits in there perfectly. And I'm about 2 feet shorter than you, I think I can almost straighten my legs. :p I'm not too worried about comfort, more worried about heat, cold, bugs and condensation.

now that you mention it, mine did build up quite a bit of condensation on the inside. Windshield had to be dried off with a towel and there was a good amount of water. Also had my wife and dog sleeping in there as well.
