2012 tundra 166k. Purchased it recently knowing it needed some items fixed. 1st tundra so not super familiar with the layout and different issues outside of the cam tower. Attached 3 pictures showing 3 different fluids/leaks. 1st and 2nd is the same leak. picture is standing by passenger door. 3rd picture is directly on the other side of the radiator. I’m standing by the bumper. Leak on the right, red fluid on the left.

Any thoughts, insights, estimated costs would be appreciated. Before I check with a dealership and they try to sell me on everything. Thanks in advance!

The last picture looks like oil from a messy filter change during an oil change. The other pictures are not good enough to for me to tell where the oil is leaking from. My advise is to get a couple cans of break cleaner and spray everything down so you can see where the oil is coming. Is it dripping oil on the ground or just seeping all over the undercarriage?

the dealer did do a oil changed before I picked it up so that would make sense. Ill grab some on my way home and get it all sprayed down.

without seeing the whole engine front, it looks to me like the red coolant leaking out is probably from your water pump, as that is a common weak point for toyotas.

Definitely a water pump leak. I had the exact same on my 2015 with around 70K miles. I changed myself. Make sure you use an OEM water pump and new serpentine belt. Check all the pully's while you're in there.

Do they typically leak slowly without failure? Plenty of coolant in reservoir and leak seems to be semi dried up.

Not sure about the intensity of the leaks, i think it will get worse over time of course, never heard of one giving out and just gushing fluid. Maybe the coolant started to overheat at some point and that happened, again its hard to tell just from that one picture. Do you notice white crust around the radiator itself?

Check inside the skidplate, you may find pink crust

Update - water pump definitely has a slow leak. Not a ton of fluid lost, but fixing regardless. Dealer $1,100. Local mechanic I’ve used for years $550 with oem pump.

what else should I have him do while he’s in there? Serp belt? Thermostat? Anything else?

Thermostat for sure, maybe some of those rubber lines that get brittle over time, I dont think they are too expensive.
