Factor 55 is American made and a fantastic company, here is their hitch recovery point (~$83)
If you don't want to spend that much, Rhino USA is also a pretty good company in my opinion, USA based but make their stuff overseas... except they have an exceptional no questions asked lifetime warranty, here is their hitch recovery point ($46)

I personally use Factor55 for my winch, but I have Rhino USA for their hitch receiver, I also use their tow straps and soft shackles, its all been great stuff from both companies

no, each truck key is unique to that truck, no one else can unlock it besides any key that is matched to your truck

I’ve had two of these pins, they work really well and obviously handy to not need to have another key or combination. These do not work with the newer push start mini backup keys FYI. I also leave a factor55 shackle hitch in most of the time and put a big zip tie on preventing the shackle from being easily unbolted.

I have the agency6 one. Haven't gotten to use it yet other than messing around, but it seems very well made.

They make padlocks too, I keep a couple in the truck for camping and locking up things around the site when we leave for a day.

I use the hitch pin year round and the cap/cover presents rust and dust buildup.

    Awesome stuff.

I have these for my hitch as well as the coupler and swing tongue on our boat trailer, they are nice and I have no complaints. But like it was stated in post #12, they are not compatible with the newer push button start backup key. If I'm not mistaken, BOLT will also give you a discount on a new set of locks should you get a new vehicle. I would have done this when I got my truck since our locks are keyed to my wifes Yukon, but since my truck is push button start I just had a cheap door key made from the Yukon immobilizer key and I keep that with my truck fob.

I think most units have 6 pins and is setup unique to the Toyota shaped key. It’s possible another key would have identical positions for those 6 pins, but most keys would be marginally different enough that some high percentage would not work. I think thieves would go a more efficient way to remove this lock, like a big pipe could likely rip off the keyed part (vs sitting there trying a bunch of keys to see if they work) or 5 seconds with a angle grinder.
