I think you should be good, had kings/5100s on my Tacoma. I will say I do think the 5160s are worth the extra coin. Love them paired with toytec coilovers.

can’t wait to see how they work the archive springs

You still have those 5160s laying around or were they old and worn out?

Finally got my nuts off the drivers side downstream O2 sensor today. Looks like no nut mangling will be necessary to get the new ones on the old stud. Just need to decide if I should go with the OEM nuts or stainless steel with a lock wash instead. I’m leaning towards the latter.

Too late to deal with traffic driving to ace hardware to buy nuts. Definitely don’t want to reuse the rusty crusty old ones.

Just when I thought I was done with these brakes, they pull me back in. This hard line is just barely seeping fluid. It was the one that never felt like it thread in correctly. I went by the Stealership and ordered new ones. $16.85 each.

    47315-0C010

I hate those hard lines. Having to bend them to fit the bigger calipers didn't do them any favors.

It definitely wasn't today, maybe a few weeks ago, but I finally got my "OG" Toyota grille in the mail along with my shiny raptor lights. Install took about 15 minutes, but an added hour wiring it through my hood and buying new bolts for my hood release that rusted right off :)
    IMG_8396.HEIC.jpg
Then took it through some muddy mud ;)

Got some seat covers installed this morning. Went with camo so I look the redneck Texastanian part. Also thought the tan color might not be a very close match (like the steering wheel cover). And finally, I think these camo ones will take longer to look dirty and or worn out then a tan would. Bought the same brand as the ones Noah put in his. Durafit maybe?

Well curiosity got to me today with some of the recent discussions on lower mileage engines and varnishing/sludge. I’ve got 110,000 on my engine and pulled the oil filler to see waz up under there. Definitely heavy varnish but no sludge. Looks like I’m going to be doing some of the seafoam treatments and frequent oil changes to try and clean things up a bit. My commute is about 60 miles round trip so I’ll just use the Tundra and be able to rack up miles quick. Looks like my gas bill is going up and the Corolla will be collecting varnish instead

Shiiiiiiit, I'm curious hoe much sludge is under all three sets of my covers. All of mine have been rode hard, high heat, put up wet, and oil changed.... sometimes on time.

I just don't have the freedom, or time to do what I want right nows.

Anyways, I'm 3 modelos in with dad. Currently riding passenger prince in my own car going to get sushi.

For me personally I’m just not familiar with any of those products. I’ve used seafoam for years and have had good results in some of the motorcycles I’ve rebuilt.

Now you’re just bragging! My commute was 5 miles. That’s one reason why my truck is so low mileage.

I actually wanted to go 5160, but Toytec didn't have any 5160 or 6112 for our trucks at their site, and I wanted to roll all the shipping into one where possible. Wasn't sure if I'd really be getting 2x the performance to match the 2x price, either - like, seriously.

This is only phase 1 for me. I'll go wilder later.

Some of them are legit. Some are really harsh. I mentioned it before here, I think, but my grandpa would replace 1/3 of his oil with kerosene, and run for a long while (like an hour) with that, and swore by it, his stuff was clean as a whistle. But living out in the boonies of north LA, it's not like he had a lot of other stuff to do.

Hell yeah. I have a Honda mower, I've had it for 10, 15 years now? Always throw a little SeaFoam in the tank. This week, I finally had to rip the old carb off and swap/rebuild it. Man, I opened up that carb, it is freaking spotless inside. No clogs in the carb. No residue internally or in the bowl. No cake on the float. Spic and span, and I've never taken the carb off. I was shocked.

I'll be interested to pop my oil fill off in the coming weeks to check out my top-end on the driver's side after that 1st 500 mile run with SeaFoam high mileage. I've used regular SeaFoam already in the crankcase, but usually only 50 miles or so on it.

Yup I’ve the same experience with some old Honda CB750 carbs. I’ve rebuilt a few. Shit works. I also use it as a stabilizer in my gas can for the mower And the tanks of my lawn equipment. Shit fires right up every spring.

Gotta wear a mask or your asking for problems. Actually the worst IMO we’re the rubberized bumpers that came out in the 80s & early 90s. The chemicals used during prep were incredibly nasty smelling and could give anyone a headache without proper ventilation. Today it’s not even nearly as bad since they refined & mastered the process.

I can’t confirm if they are 2x better but they do ride nice and I liked the fact that they had longer extended lengths. I got them from wheelers off road and they offer free shipping for anything over $100. Also saved 10% when you sign up for their mailer. Not a bad deal.

I'm going to give the 5100s a go with an open mind. If I don't like, I'll keep eyes peeled to see if I can net some 5160s for $300 shipped. Sometimes you gotta sit on things for a while, but I'm an avid coupon-and-deal whore. :D

Ordered these weld-on sliders for my truck https://80percentoffroad.com/products/1st-gen-toyota-tundra-weld-on-rock-sliders. Had to take advantage of the reasonable price including shipping and the 15% off sale. I got them for $584 shipped, which I think is pretty reasonable. Maybe I'll have my shop weld these on and try and remove the stuck studs at the same time. I've been wanting a pair like this for a while. I think they will complete the look of the build. Sketching up bed platform ideas for my mattress.

Didn’t touch my truck at all yesterday. Hope to get a feel for the airbag problem today. Super stoked to have it home finally. Gotta work on the registration and title change now too.

probably use it to go get supplies for building firewood storage. So nice to have an 8’ bed for hauling again.

Would love to get going on seat heat, mirrors, mirror heat and all the audio stuff but it seems like that stuff may have to wait a bit since it’s less urgent. Airbag fix takes priority so I can bring kids with me.

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
