Like some of you, I've had some issues where my wireless Android Auto will have intermittent connectivity problems. Seems to be located in certain parts of town. My guess is frequency interference in those areas.

Sometimes there is a full "connectivity timeout" and other times it's just a minor problem where it stays connected, but the music stops playing. For those minor problems, I've noticed that if you pause the music then press play again, it will resume playing the music without having to go back to the Toyota GUI. Also, pressing the volume knob while in Android Auto acts as a pause/play button. I find that a quick way to resolve without having to find the right thing to navigate the screen.

It's a mildly annoying issue that I hope they can resolve with a software update down the road, but wanted to share this tip in case it could make it less frustrating for you in the meantime.

Same experience here. Only started a month ago or so. I suspect it is an issue with Android.
