Hope this is proper place for this question. I am looking to put the Rockstar XP running boards on my new Tundra. Dealer quote is 631 installed. I assume these are just bolt on, but am not really familiar yet. Does this seem like a good quote or does anyone have a suggestion for better running boards that would look good on a black sr5? Thanks in advance.

Depends how much the boards cost. Install should be more than an hour for someone that never held a wrench ☺

Agree. Can't find those boards online to check to see if they are bolt ons. If so, better to find the boards aftermarket and install yourself. Will be much cheaper from my experience.

Plenty planned thanks to all of you.
I can't compare the Rockstar boards to the GoRhino RB20's that I just installed last night, but if they use a similar bracket set-up it should take you an hour or less. That's what it took me and I was taking my time.

Those look an awful lot like Iron Cross® 718-8293B - 5" Patriot Series Black Running Boards. Which are bolt on, and around 400 bucks give or take 30 bucks. I wouldn't pay 650 for them installed.

LOL I would NEVER get a shop to install my steps!

I had never handled a power drill when I was a teenager and I got my first Tacoma, but still installed my old school Westin nerf bars and had to drill holes in them. Came out perfect.

If an irrational teenager who weighed a buck 50 soaking wet and could barely handle a corded drill do it, I'm sure you could handle some bolt ons!!

Thanks all for the input. I think I'll look into it myself at this point. Guess that is half of the fun of it right? :)
