US Navy '88-'94. Ended as an AT2 (aviation electronics E5). I got recruiter'd while enlisting and ended up with a TAR designation, meaning while I was active duty, I was assigned to the reserve fleet to keep things up and running on a reserve base until the reserves showed up on the weekends. I spent my enlistment at NAS Backyard...errr, NAS Glenview, which is north of Chicago but south of Great Mistakes NTC. I was assigned to VP-60, which was a P-3 squadron. Both the base and the squadron were navigating decommissioning as I was getting out.

After that, I spent 2 years as a prison guard in Missouri Dept. of Corrections (oh Lawd, that sucked) before getting hired by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. 25 years later, I'm just about to call the ball.

Bittersweet day, beautiful blue sky, bright sunshine and a nice breeze. So many Americans who willingly put life on the line to fight for the rest of us. Thinking of all our warriors today, those that paid the ultimate price and those still in the fight despite having spent time in places most of us wouldn't go. Hope you're doing well on this Memorial Day Brothers.

12 years LEO with FBI Police Uniformed Division; 3 and counting still with the Bureau but running our operations center out of the Philadelphia office. And because "without pics it didn't happen" AND because I don't have pictures of me sitting at a desk (thankfully):

I wanted a faster vehicle so I also bought a Chevy SS... because 4 door sedans with big V8’s are hilarious.

US Navy 91-97. Nuclear power school 91-93. USS Memphis SSN-691 from 93-97. Put a new reactor in her and updated the panels to LCDs. Overhaul was awful. Woulda rather been at sea!!!
