I just saw this video the other day. I liked different ideas except the marker trick (using a black marker to cover a rusty bolts didn't sound good to me).

I can't seem to get the video to play for me right now. Might be reception. I used to wash the engine bay on all my cars back in the day.
I still believe in keeping the engine bay clean but I really shy away from using water on the top of the engine.

This revealed itself recently on my 2002 Dodge ram with a 4.7 L V-8. The spark plugs are installed on the top of the engine near the intake manifold on the inside of the head. It is now my mother's truck but I went to change the plugs and water had gotten down past the coils and the O-rings that protect the plugs. It caused quite a bit of corrosion and was very difficult to get the plugs out. I used to clean that engine bay all the time. I also had a radiator hose below and cover everything with tonight. That instance caused a misfire.

So in the future I will still be washing my engine bay but being very careful to keep it away from any electrical components.

I'll try to watch the video later.

Great video. I think it would take me twice as long to do the first time.
