    2000 Tundra AC
Been lurking around Forums since I bought my Tundra a couple of weeks ago and decided to join this one. I bought a 2000 Tundra AC 4X4 with the 4.7 V8. It was a fleet truck for a gas company in New Mexico and has 265,000 on the clock. It had a miss on Cylinder 8, tires were in bad shape, the rear quarter window latches were broke, and a piece of the glass in the back window was shattered. I replaced all the plugs, got some brand new rims and tires off a 2013 Tacoma for $400, ordered some replacement parts off Amazon to fix the latches, and replaced the missing glass with some plexiglass and Silicon. I wasn't about to spend $400+ for an entire back window for 1 piece of glass. All and all I'm about $3300 into it including purchase price.

Anyway, glad to be apart of the forum. Here she is.

Welcome from SoCal! Good deal on the factory rims. They look great. I replaced the aftermarket wheels with rims from an FJ TT edition.

Thanks for the welcomes. The more I drive this truck the more I like it.

Going to replace the struts and springs, upper and lower ball joints, flush the coolant, service the diffs and transfer case. The tranny fluid and the oil look good. Timing belt looks decent but it'll be on the list of replacement items in the next 15k or so. I used to be a technician at Lexus before I joined the Air Force so its nice having the necessary tools and know how but I'll be referencing the site since it has been 10 years since I worked there.
