Just realized today my tailgate hasn't been locking or unlocking with my remote. I have to manually lock/unlock with the key instead. Is there some sort of override switch I'm missing or something? Searched forums and found varying degrees of this, but not specifically my issue. Hope someone has a solution. For right now it's just an inconvinience

Fuel delete mod Cup holder upgrade
Unless you had a power tailgate lock installed, stock requires a key.

Unless you installed a tailgate lock then it doesn't lock with the remote. The OEM tailgate lock kit is a pretty straightforward install though, if you want ro add it.

    See build link
If you did install a lock, you'll need to remove the tailgate cover panel and take a look to see if the actuator is still contacting your lock mechanism.

I assumed the platinum would have it included. I guess not. Well that was an easy fix to my problem. Was gonna do a swap, but maybe manually locking isn't a bad thing. Will be secure even if my truck is unlocked. I kinda like that.

Buy the OEM kit, the instructions are very simple to follow. You do not need to remove the exhaust shield but wear gloves because its sharp and will cut you, which is why they tell you to remove it. The part number is PK3B6-34JS0.
