Around here, they tear up the trails. Spin the wheel out of every corner rain comes and washes the loose stuff away. Pine cones and acorns done’t make a good base.

Im a 20+ year Mt biker so i feel yah and I suppose any e bike could be classifies as a motorized vehicle but here they are widely excepted. Even our mountain resort, which has a killer mt bike park, started allowing class I E bikes last year and this year allow class II. I guess I'm lucky to live in a state that allows for such things. I have yet to see the damage caused by these as some are saying. They are way lighter than a dirt bike, have mt bike sized tires, mt bike suspension, and not even close to the ability to do the damage a dirt bike does. I've had nothing but positive encounters with fellow mt bikers and the mt biking community in general is very supportive.

As someone who builds a lot of trails in Oregon, I have seen in action, and fixed the damage an electric moto like yours have done to trails I have helped with. Please reconsider riding on dedicated mountain bike trails.

I've spent thousands of hours building and repairing mt bike trails including logging over 200 hours just this year and the damage i see comes from the weather, vandals, and horses. E bikes are not an issue that I have seen. The e bike is the future whether we like it or not and will be an ever increasing presance on the trail. Adjust and adapt or don't but as someone whom has been a part of the mt biking community since the late 80s I have seen a lot of change in the industry and this is just another change we will need to except and I'm all in.

Yesterday was my first lap on Fear and Loaming, that trail is nothing short of a masterpiece. Looking forward to riding it again after a little rain, but I really enjoyed the dry, loose and chunky sections.

im fine with ebikes on trails that allow it, but nothing about a suron is a bicycle. If it had peddles there may be an argument for it but it is nothing more than a small, electric dirt bike.

I'm ok with electric assist on an actual bike (with peddles that expect you to use them.) It would be better to just get in better shape but the option allows for more accessibility for those who may be less able. That's ok with me (not that it's up to me anyway.) If the 'ebike' doesn't even have peddles or you can use electric most or all of the time, then it isn't a bike, it's a moped. F-that. Those are for the types that lost their licence for drunk driving.

I think pedal assist bikes have a place in the sport too. I want my Dad to get an e-bike so we can ride more together. He's in his 60s and spent the last 40 years working 12 hour shifts with 2 hour commutes and hasn't had the time to keep his fitness levels where he'd like for a long time. He's a tough bastard and could grind his way through the lack of training until his 50s, but not as much anymore. If he had an extra 400 watts of power, we could go back to me chasing him like I did when I was learning to ride at 10 years old.

Pedal assist E bikes don't hurt the trail at all, just some egos on the hills. The electric motorcycles are another story. The Sauron, Segway, type weigh 100lbs and have 100ftlbs of instant torque going to that MTB size tire. A blast to ride but tough on trails.

Well actually they weigh 125 lbs and don't I wish they had 100 lbs of ft torque. Not sure where you got those numbers but it sound good for argument sake I suppose. And if the argument is that these are damaging trails i'd have to disagree. I'm just not seeing that. Its not as if when coming out of a turn and you throttle it you spray a roost of dirt 50 ft back and leave a huge rut, they just don't have the power to do that. Anyone saying they have seen their local trail system getting beat up from e bikes is just flat making up stories. I have been a trail steward for over 20 years and have logged more hours maintaining trails than most have ridden in their life time and I'm just not seeing it. Like anything else show respect for those around you and the environment you're in and everyone gets along.

The Segway version has -184.3ftlbs torque at the motor.
    https://store.segway.com/segway-dirt-ebike-x260
You don’t have to throw a 50ft roost to be doing damage especially in the southeast where there is soft base. we have rulles against roosting berms and skidding because of trail erosion damage.

If it has pedals and is pedal assist only, it's a normal bike IMO.

If it doesn't have pedals, has foot pegs, and a twist throttle it is an electric motorcycle. A dirt bike that should not be ridden on bike trails IMO (again). Probably a blast to ride.

I will have an e-bike at some point, just waiting for the prices to come down.

NBD’s are the best. Ibis Hakka , Sram rival and a dropper. Went with power meter on this just because. Well it’s a new measurable output anyway. Love the bike , super stiff and the Ritchey bar is outstanding. Nice bike.

Curious if your Tremor has been plagued with issues. I had looked at one prior to buying my Tundra and decided to stay clear
