Has anyone covered their Tundra with PPF, ceramic coat or wrap? What is your experience with these? Is it worth it? What would you recommend.

First, Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! Many on here, including myself, have ceramic coated our trucks. A few have PPF. I highly recommend a quality ceramic coating. When installed properly, it protects your paint better than wax and is easier to maintain. It does NOT protect against rock chips as well as PPF, but I have heard of issues with PPF yellowing with age. That may not be an issue if you aren't going to keep your truck for more than a few years.

Welcome and greetings from Minnesota. I went with 3-M paint protective film & wax. Film is warranted for lifetime when applied by a 3-M certified vendor.

There's quite a few threads on the topic. Ppf is great for front end and rocker panels. Ceramic coat on top of that and on the entire vehicle including glass then just touch up the coating every 1-2 weeks with a topper and you'll be set.

I got a quote to ppf the entire truck. Only because I have to park the truck outside. I was planning to put the ceramic coat myself to save money. What do you think about my plans?

I also looked into ppf for the entire vehicle, it was more then I was willing to spend and I didn't like the look of the vehicle they had there that was fully covered. It dulled the shine of the paint more then I liked so that's why I just did the rock zones and ceramic on the rest. See if you can get them to show you a vehicle near the same color with the ppf on before you pull the trigger.

My truck is parked outside 95% of the time. I have a professionally applied ceramic coat and I have absolutely zero complaints. If you want to do it yourself, make sure to do a LOT of research unless you are already a detailing pro. If you mess something up, it can be a lot of work to correct.

I got a quote yesterday for my new to me 2018 Platinum CM (white) 62,000 miles, clean. My truck will live outside. 8mm & 10mm thickness quotes blew my mind! Tulsa Ok- high end detail shop:Hood,fender,mirrors,headlights,fogs,grill,A-pillars,roof & bumper - Xpel 8mm $3,034 10mm $3,432! F That!
Ceramic was like $1350-ish and up. F That!
Enrolling in Youtube University and DIY for ceramic here I come.
I'm seeming to like "Pan The Organizer" for detailing info.

Pan is great for technique, he's being paid by turtle wax so depending on how far back you go you'll start to see it in his product suggestions. I'd start with a user friendly coating at first. Adams has a spray coating that is very forgiving.
