Hello everyone, I’m no mechanic but I’m looking to take my truck maintenance to the next level. I have a 2021 2wd DC, I’m familiar enough to change/flush all the fluids in these trucks. But like I mentioned, I want the take the maintenance a little further.

What all needs to be greased on these trucks?

What type of grease for each component?

How often should each component be greased?

    Thanks for your input

I could be wrong but I don't think the 21 had grease fittings. I didn't see any under mine.

They phased them out around 2018. Another reason 2017 is the best MY ever. :muscleflexing:

The owners bunghole due to no transmission cooler.

Anything that has KY on it should work.

    Anytime, guy.

Don’t feel too bad - if my truck was 2WD it’d only have three - u-joints and spline shaft on the driveline.

If you ever upgrade your UCAs, you'll have some there. When your ball joints blow (BJs blow) you'll have some in the replacements, when your driveline U-joints go, you'll have some in those replacements.

    Too many, but not enough....
Actually not having zerk fittings is a pretty good thing. The totally sealed U joints have a longer life span typically since its impossible for anything to get in them. Plus, with cat thefts and the valhallas sheild that I have on, it would be an absolute nightmare to grease those things twice a year having to take those shields off.

What MadMax said. The sealed U joints are a far superior product. Far, far stronger the is ancient greaseable joint and maintenance free. Everything new is condemned by the previous generation and those who don't have it. The end of the world.......fuel injection, seat belts, air bags, sealed headlights - halogen headlights - LED headlights, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.........
