Getting a p3400 code on my 2004 toyota tundra

    Anyone get this code? Seems to be related to a cylinder deactivation

    Which engine is in your 2004 Tundra having this issue?

    Never seen that one, and don't see others here. Nothing I see in an '05-'06 Toyota FSM either. Best I could do is same as you and spitball based on Google search.

    I wasn't even aware the 1st Gen engine choices were able to deactivate cylinders. Thought that was only on newer vehicles...

    I think it is more likely a P0340 or P0430 code

    No it came up as P3400, but the reader I have is one of those cheaper bluetooth ones you can buy at walmart so its probably not accurate. I have a friend that works at Meineke so I'll have him scan it there.

    Oh and my engine is the 4.7L

    Any big-box auto parts stores will usually also do free scans/clears if you don't want to wait. Auto Zone, O'Reillys, Advance, etc.

    What app did you scan with? Try the Car Scanner ELM OBD2 app by OvZ if you are using Android. Might give different results. It has been accurate in my experience compared to both Torque Pro and DashCommand.
