Just don't smoke it, under the Proposition 65 statute of California, it's probably known to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.

We have been given "strong advisory" to leave tomorrow because of the surge !! We will be inland by about a half hour ..

Irma freaked everybody out when she came through;sucked all the water back towards the Gulf and then SPIT it back 3-4' higher  :crapstorm:

Folks saw the bottom of our canal with hardly any water and then you view my pix...:eek2::eek2: we also had heavy winds tear things to $hit...but selectively... front street where we are had 3 homes opened up and two blocks over concrete homes got beat up.... We only had water damage and the Florida room got tweaked hard....I'm real happy my new Room is NOT installed right now

With the latest "pin the tail weather map" we should NOT see more than 40 mph gust and 3-5" rain..

Now with that said, Tampa might be where this THING makes land fall :annoyed::annoyed::annoyed:

Prayers for your family in ST.Pete...Con just mentioned St.Pete facebook page has evacuation plans and where to go.... Tampa ordered evac's starting this AM..

Yup. Then it hits Punta Gorda and Sarasota/Bradenton get hammered. Or it hits St. Pete and Tampa gets hammered. Or Tampa gets hit and Port Richey/NPR get hit. Or Hudson gets hit and Homosassa gets hammered. It's all a guessing game.

My aunt is in NPR. Close friend in Brooksville. Plenty of friends in Bradenton/Sarasota. They all know they've got a spare room here if they need it. But man, it gets exhausting trying to deal with where it'll hit.

You are correct , Irma was going to the east Coast and we watched the "Boat Parade" come across from Miami just to get caught here when she decided she wanted to see the West Coast of Florida instead... Boat parade has been "active all day"... thumbnail_IMG_4450 boat parade.jpg some of the $$$ that goes by everyday

Well, this last camping trip confirmed what I had been thinking for the last 5 months…35’s are overkill and unnecessary for what I use the truck for. I still rub the firewall and after this last alignment, now on my front bumper when fully stuffed. I’m gonna cut my losses; sell the 35’s, order 285/75 yoko mt’s, back off on the caster and send it with no rubbing! 4.88’s and 34’s will feel awesome! Plus, after falling 5’ off the tent ladder while holding an 80lb dog(dog is fine, I broke his fall), we have decided to buy a small TT. We’ll use the trailer as home base and explore with the tundra. Definitely keeping the tent and rack for shorter or more remote trips.

I know but I’m tired of adapting and throwing money trying to make these behemoths fit and function properly. I can buy 4 285/75’s for the price that I sell the 5 35’s for. To make the 35’s fit, I’ll need to rub the firewall. I’m done throwing money at these 35’s, it’s not worth it. The width is really killing it for me also. The 12.5” wide likes to wander on dirt and sand. The 11” wide 285’s track and drive better. I’ll lose .6” in height but gain a better ride on and off road.

I’m too scared to even think of 34’s. Hah. But I’m excited to see what 33’s feel like when I can finally send it. It was a long time with scraping over small bumps due to front shock / coil problems.

Yes, front facing too. The cheapest I found it was ordering from Walmart actually. I believe the brand is auto-vox. I’ll see what model it is later tonight.

I think I ordered 2 or 3 different handles off Amazon before ordering the one I put on from Rock Auto. Idk why it was so hard to find the right color.

I just plugged my VIN into the parts.toyota.com website and pulled up the body parts area. There were two color options for my year/model/cab in the list. IIRC, fawn and charcoal. Ordered the charcoal, direct match. Only cost a few bucks more than the RA or scAmazon, and only had to order once :D

Hell yeah! Did you get some spacers too? I'd HIGHLY recommend them to get the wheels in the right place. It'll also help to not rub if your alignments caster is right(mines not).

I havent ordered spacers yet but they are definitely on my mind. Thanks for the heads up, looks like I might need to order some. It looks like spidertrax are very popular and I also came across Marlin Crawler spacers for Toyotas as well. Any recommendations on spacer brands?

I have the spidertrax. They seem liked by enough people and the felt very high quality.

More than brand, material is important. I realize it's harder to find, but if you can go with a steel spacer instead of alloy, do it. Especially if you plan on hitting rough terrain. If I showed you what's happened with alloy spacers to some of the ATL guys I met through Vortex back in the day, you'd be shocked. I suppose it's possible the quality has gotten better, but alloy is alloy. You overtorque, or have exceptional impact, they will crack. You don't want a cracked spacer with the rotational mass of a wheel attached.

I think this is overboard in some regards (edit: And encourages alloy, which I'm not a fan of...), but it's food for thought if you don't know a lot about spacers and their purpose/usage:

Finally got my parts order from Serra Toyota last week. Ordered them in March. Needless to say, I don’t think I would order from them again. I was told they were swamped, so gave them a few months before I even emailed them asking about the parts. No response to two separate emails a couple of months apart. Finally called them and they got moving on it.
