How difficult is it to remove the badges on this new Tundra? Want to take off the 4X4 and X series on the tailgate only. Last truck (F150) was super easy. Same with this one? Thanks!

Yes, it's just VHB tape holding it on. Pull slowly/evenly and they come right off. Use the fishing line trick if needed. Citrus oil to remove the residue.

I found it best to let the truck sit outside and get the badges warm or use a hair dryer. I over scrubbed with the Goof Off (citrus oil) and scratched the clear coat but it buffed out with no issues.

I would think it's very easy since my door badging peeled off on its own.

Got them off. 4X4 badge wasn't bad at all. I have the XP series so the tail gate has X Series on the tailgate. That thing was a pain.

What is something light that can remove the scratches from where I removed the badges? Trying to not have to buff and polish and all that. I goo goned the mess out of it, but adhesive isn't what's left over, it's some scratching from getting it all off.

One of the first things I do with any new vehicle. Neighbors think I'm crazy with taking them off within 30 minutes of getting home.

Something like this should take care of the small scratches. It's just a fill-in for the clearcoat. Most light scratches are just in the clear.

I do the same thing taking apart new vehicles. Might as well get as many miles as possible with it the way you want it. I pulled my new truck apart in my driveway with only 62 miles on it!
