It is the same kit as the old radio, all that changed is the new radio.

I would be ready to do this if not for the cost.
Especially since I would want the 1007XR, that one is a big chunk of change.

I have a Garmin nav in the center console for no cel.

 

That makes sense.
I just already have it with my 995s, so kind of spoiled.
And it does come in handy at places like 4 peaks.

 

I had the internal Navs for years, going back to the ones with the 510 external nav unit. It always pissed me off you could not get lifetime maps & had to buy them yearly.

 

Yeah I have the lifetime on the garmin I have on my motorcycle which is nice.
Interface is so old compared to Google maps but they have their uses.

 

That 3590 has lifetime maps, it was in a drawer since 2017, we went to Mexico about a month ago & had no signal so it was no fun. I pulled it out, found the battery had expired, bought a battery & put it in the console.

Went to Tempe Toyota yesterday. 5G is pretty darn good.

My 2013 has been bulletproof since I got it 4/21. My first issue was found last month sitting at the Mexico/AZ border for upwards of 50 minutes. The first time, the AC got a bit less cool. The second (about three weeks apart) it got warm. Revving to 2-2.5k returned cool air.

I have a warranty I bought that I thought covered "everything" and has a 200 deductible at Auto Nation centers. I made an appointment and took it to Tempe AN Toyota this morning. They diagnosed the condenser fan as having a known "while voltage is applied outside the circuit the fan does not run" state, the question is: How does a front of engine, easily accessible (I just R&R'd it in 1 minute) repair cost over 500???? (800+ for the part 1359.47 total) I ordered a fan from Amazon for 187 delivered & will replace it myself, in the end saving 13 bux!

Guess I got the diagnostic free & a multipoint clean bill of health feels good. But 500 really?
Both bolts are this accessible, I attached the horn there until the new fan comes so I don't have to disconnect it again, I'll put it back mid fan when I do the repair.





The bottom has pins that go in holes in the radiator support.

 

Note to self: figure out how to keep the AC fan if going supercharged in the future. Apparently, it is there for a reason.

 

Yup, without it the AC blows hot when sitting.

 

Glad it was an easy fix! Since (Verizon) 5g has rolled, as long as I have 4 bars+ it works great, but I've had a lot of dropped calls and spots of data outage when on the go and the phone is switching between 5g sites as it doesn't have the range of 4g. I wish I could lock my phone into 4g mode, but the vzw s22 ultra doesn't allow for it. The unlocked version does though.

The yard in Van Nuys my 2019 cluster came from still had the fan, its shroud is damaged but it comes apart, I gave him 100 shipped.





I'll swap the motor & use the better of the fans into my shroud.



The ebay came, it seems ok.

Replaced the PS reservoir & r&r'd the ATF.

 

When are you going to go harrop supercharger and full stand alone ecu? That should keep you busy for 7 to 10 days I'm sure

 

I'm working up to an SC (it will be Harrop) but that is a hill I have to crawl up, and I want LC Heritage wheels & new tires first.

 

If you end up looking into ecu tuning, UMS in Mesa is great. They tuned my 3rd gen 4runner and did a great job with it.

 

Something is telling me to go Whipple, but no one seems to have installed it. Odd seeing as it's been out 2 years.

 

I've been doing some looking. I came across a few people early on who ordered it for the tundra but ended up canceling orders because the shipment was getting delayed. I'm actually interested in going the whipple route. Maybe we can find somebody to give us a BOGO deal.

I'm interested on going whipple with hp tuners and supporting fuel mods. I know Steve at UMS tunes quite a bit with hp tuners, he will be the one I have tune my sequoia when I get there.

 

I have an HP tune license & their MPVI2+ I need to verify which way to go & need to get the money set up, problem is I have so many things I want to do. (Rims/tires, TRD running boards, 38 gallon tank SC) etc My Wife wants a bunch of other things, I can only rationalize spending so much on toys.

I need to prioritize what I want to do now, it's really hard to decide.

 

I'm not in a huge rush, I need to finish my stereo purchases/install. I just got my kenwood headunit in and most of the install pieces are on their way. I still need to get a couple of amps and a dsp before I install it all.
