Got home last night after five days on the road pulling a 5k lb trailer.

Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas. Made a few stops along the way home in addition to the stops made on the road trip up to Oregon to pickup the trailer. It was nice to sleep in my own bed last night.

Total miles just over 4,800 over the course of two weeks.

    That's some miles there!
No issues? Did you tow in S4/S5 the whole way?

Probably about 70% in S4. On the flats in WY and TX I was able to use D.

You're still waiting on the house build right? How's that process going?

Lot is chosen, design selections made, contract signed, and earnest money paid. They were waiting for addresses to be assigned by USPS so the permit can be pulled. They are expecting that to happen any day now so they can break ground in August.

We were the first contract in a new release so it is our house, 10 inventory homes, and two model homes to start. I hope that means ours is coming out of the ground first. Should move in April or May.

I averaged 10mpg most tanks except the last day from Amarillo to home. Drive into a head wind most of the time so average was about 8mpg. Good thing gas is down to 3.69 in TX so it didn’t hurt so bad at the pump.

Working on emptying the trailer so I can get it inspected for plates, cleaned, and put into storage today.

Right on, you got the first pick of the lots then?
    Not bad!
Covered storage for that TX sun?

Yes, first pick. My one requirement for the house was a third garage bay. So that narrowed choices a bit based on width.

    Oh yes. Definitely covered!

I won't even question the situation about marriage and the need to move. I will just tell you how I tried to move my oak table and dresser. They were empty but very heavy. I decided to save money and packed everything myself. When I lifted the chest of drawers, I broke my back. I spent three weeks at home with a bad spine. My dresser was damaged because I couldn't hold it and dropped it. It was an antique. My wife found residential moving services calgary (https://calgarymoverspro.ca) and told me that the young guys there had done everything already. She paid ten times less than the treatment for my back. How angry I was. My spouse did it all herself (!!!). and I was ashamed and envious.
