Does this angle have anything to do with the TSS malfunction? Any help would be appreciated!

Yes. Also unplugged and replugged til I heard the click. Lol. Wasn’t sure if it recalibrates itself or if there is anything I can do to Calibrate it.

Don't mean to sound rude, but did you use a tss relocation bracket to move the sensor? That's a vital piece to a grill swap...

Is it an actual Toyota sensor cover, or aftermarket? Some of the Amazon/ebay/easy ones can cause issues for the sensor.

Barring that, did you have your battery unhooked when you were unhooking and reconnecting the sensor? If not, might have shifted or surged something. Check fuses. I'd also unhook the battery for a while to reset everything if the fuses are all good.

I replaced the grill on my truck with the Pro grill using a Toyota sensor cover and had no problem. I had to change it because of the bumper I installed. After market covers are hit and miss. Some work and some don't. You probably can't calibrate the sensor. You might be able to get a windshield repair shop to do it or take it to a Toyota dealer but I bet it isn't the calibration that is screwed up. Disconnect the battery as suggested by GODZILLA in the previous post.

Not being rude. I appreciate the reply. I grilled a goose that’s why I opted for the TRD pro on the truck instead of the factory grill. The original was the Toyota emblem that sat higher. I know that the TSS sensor is only different on models without the SR5 package. However this has the upgraded SR5 package. The garnish is aftermarket. Going to order an OEM garnish and hope there isn’t any issue after that.

No. It’s aftermarket. Any advice on removing the push pins holding the garnish secure?! After the goose was removed surprisingly everything still functioned as normal.

This one doesn’t. I found the garnish for around $330 at Camelback Toyota. Will order that if that sounds about right at that price. Was wondering if the angle of the sensor garnish mattered much? I know it’s a cover that has a set thickness from Toyota.

I'm assuming its the star lock washers that bite into the plastic pegs that are presenting the issue? If that's the case, a pair of angle cutters to snip them off is the easiest. Should be able to get replacements at your local hardware store.

You don't need that when going to an OEM Pro Grille. The grille has a spot to mount it.

I got a three inch lift and changed my bumper and mine still worked. I changed mine and it worked for several months. I got it calibrated months later but that because I had my windshield replaced. It still worked but the insurance required they calibrate the cameras.

Yes. Sometime there is a delay and it may take driving around a bit before it’s ready again. Also, it does look like yours is tilted up, make sure the bottom is all the way pushed in. I had to remove my grill and do it again when mine wasn’t flush. I have been running an eBay sensor for 2 years without issue. Wouldn’t spend $300+ when the $30 part works just as well and doesn’t look any different.

Do you by chance have the listing info you purchased from EBay? If not no worries.

Thank you all by the way for the quick Replies. I really appreciate it! Will pull grill off and make sure the garnish is flush. When it was installed it seemed flush with no movement. Just was odd that it appears to be pointing upwards.

The info screen allows me to switch the TSS on and off. However when it’s on it will not allow me to adjust the sensitivity.

I just checked my account and the seller(turningmax) no longer has it listed for sale, unfortunately. Total price was $25.

Have you tried unhooking the battery for a few minutes to reset the electronics?
