As you can tell the original(2014) antenna rubber base is toast. Of course I need a new one which I will order and I assume most of them will work if they say they will.

    Question:

I've noticed the metal base(in pic) of the antenna is loose. How do I tighten it back up? The entire metal base moves as one piece.

Also curious to know if I should cover the hole until I have it replaced to prevent water intrusion?

    Any help would be appreciated!
