What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Finished my air compressor install
Middle two wires are the power, ground direct to battery


And the compressor under the drivers seat


Tested it out with my 18ga nail gun - worked like a champ!

 

What size are your tires? Also any lift or level?

 

I have the 3/1 1/2" rough country and running 285/65/20

 

Changed oil with my daughter and switched out to metal oil filter housing.

 

That's Dadding done right.

 

Special times indeed. Did you swap over the longer inner metal tube from the plastic to the new one? This gets overlooked sometimes.

 

Did you switch out the center strainer from the plastic one to the metal one?

 

Did a couple racks of baby back ribs in smoker today

Also moved my Tow/Haul button closer to where I can activate it faster.

 

My son and I were lazy and in a rush. No paint in the new holes. Rust I won't care about down the road.

Link for the jug? Someone on the forum was just talking about something like this for accurate oil measurements.

 

These daily driver mods are kinda lame and yet, I’m still excited about them. Behold, the grocery holder.

For those that don't know, there are little notches on the sides of the bed. I cut a 2x8 to 66.25" long and it drops right in.

 

Keep trying to follow the trail, it should leads to the "nest" where the Queen is located. Spraying is much more effective if you can spray as close to the nest as possible because the poison is more likely to spread to the Queen. If they are trying to move into your truck see if you can find where they are beginning from. My wife is a master at this. She literally leads the bug guy around our yard to spray nests she has traced the trail back to. Otherwise just heavy spray on the trail you can see and that might discourage them somewhat. Good Luck!

 

I use a bayer ant bait you can get off Amazon depending on what state you’re in. The trick is to use very little and let the ants “find” it. If you sprinkle it in their path they won’t touch it. They bring it into nest ant it wipes it out.

 

If they are little sugar ants what I have found that works the best is to use the little white Raid ant traps and mix the solid bait with some Terro liquid bait (cut the top off, squirt a bunch in and mix with a toothpick). They seem to like the taste of the Terro but the Raid kills them better. Usually kill a colony in under 36 hours.

Probably will get way more use than the air compressor I just installed...

 

I’m trying to stay strong and keep my mods for the tundra reasonable. All unreasonable mods go into the tacoma.

Pour in the exact amount needed in the container and just dump into engine. Quick double check of oil level gauge and keep moving.

Did end up making my own zip tie holder for nossle end as it would collect oil at end of hose as oil setting.

Those are where they should have originally been installed by the manufacturer… Such a convenient location. I wish I had the cut on my platinum I would have relocated mine by now.

 

You can always get the non-platinum trim piece that goes there…
