Truck idles around 600 rpm at cold start and doesn't idle after unhooking battery, I've cleaned the throttle body and replaced the iac valve. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Ill post a video link when i get home from work of the symptoms

Sounds like an alternator issue. Measure the voltage across the battery to insure its around 14 volts when running.

Why are you unhooking the battery?

Ive already checked voltage and was around 14.2, I Replaced the battery, I unhooked the battery after cleaning the throttle body to reset the computer.
The truck also has 330,000 miles on it

I haven’t tried disconnecting the battery before when running. My guess would be there’s no stable/acceptable load for the alternator to regulate? I dunno.

Any time you reset the computer, it has to go through an exhaustive run/test cycle to re-learn how to run. It'll run like shit until you've managed to complete the cycle. This is 100% normal.

I’d definitely post a video to get others honest opinions here.
