    Jackets or jackers? :p

Let us know. I’ve been wanting to try them but I don’t mind the seat how it is now.

37s. Definitely putting some stress on the rack. I'm not going to be surprised if it goes out one day. Steering feels fine, just noisy. I'm not worried about the noise either, even though it's a little embarrassing

    On the Seat Jackers topic:

I asked about them last week or so, didn't wanna spend $90 on blocks of aluminum... so instead I ordered the rear of the driver seat shims to see if they would work in the front of the seat... they did.

I wasn't able to get the .75" or 1" puck in the front (holes wouldn't line up, but could be fixed if you make the mounting hole on the seat 1/16' larger
However I could fit the .5" puck just barely and it definitely helped, like others stated, you go from sitting on the seat to sitting in the seat. Also noticed that the lower back paint I would get from 2+ hour drivers has gone away.

Link - $26.99 + tax (there is a 7% off coupon right now)
    I can get pictures later

I pulled a full sized Chevy 2500 CC that was towing a 30' travel trailer across the BJ's Wholesale parking lot.... Poor guy ran out of gas towing his trailer trying to get to the gas pumps at BJ's. Hooked up the tow strap and pulled him along just fine. (across the paved, flat parking lot :D)

Working on the audio today. New door speakers in all 4 doors of the crewmax. 4 new Kicker KS 6.75" speakers from crutchfield. Pretty easy install. Good sound improvement in my opinion, from the worn out 2007 stock spearkers (non-jbl). Working with an aftermarket sony head unit. I suppose the next logical step is to buy an amp, and after that a sub. Anyone out there got a used amp they're looking to sell? Or a good recommendation that won't break the bank?

I was looking at sub box w amp built in from crutchfield. Compact and some good choices for all price ranges depending on how much thump you want.

There is a good tutorial on crutchfield to tweak settings for max clean sound

Replaced my rusted skid plate with the aluminum RCI model:

Tried to extract two sheared bolts. Instead I sheared two extractors. I don't know what I'm doing.

How was the install ( - the sheared bolts)? We’re you able to install yourself? This is likely next on my list. Not sure steel or aluminum…

It's a little heavy but I was able to do it alone. The steel model might be a 2 person job. I chose aluminum so I wouldn't have to deal with rust in the future. I guess it's a bit lighter too.

Returned from a 6 day Antelope archery hunting trip in Montana. Truck performed flawlessly over the 2,000 mile journey. A lot of bad roads and a lot of dust - the Slurp is pretty messy inside and out! The bed shelf worked great, I will certainly be improving/reworking that system. The Diode Dynamics lights were a life saver at night for deer...a lot of deer. The swing out worked ok - lost a lot of ground clearance and bottomed it out a couple times, ended up bending the clasp on the swing out. The swing out isn't made for serious weight so it was stressed to begin with. I will have the rethink that system for future trips. The size of the rack with the additional Yakima box on top was great though, just need to figure out a beefier swing and how to get it raised up.

You oughta build your own swing out, I'm pretty sure Barnes 4wd sells hinge kits for custom swing out bumpers, or maybe pickup a CBI or C4 swingout bumper so you keep your departure angle (or maybe get some more)

I'm gonna build my own custom rear bumper, but since my 'swingout' is built into my bedrack, I might not put one on the bumper (although I think they look sweet- and don't want to make the truck any longer)

I would love to, unfortunately I don't know how to weld. I might just ditch the whole system all together. Maybe just run the hitch basket without a swing out. Not sure, need to think it through once I'm done going through emails from 3 missed days of work :frusty::censored::bananadead:

I think you need a small hunting trailer or maybe roof racks on the Slurp?

You should learn! I taught myself how about two years ago, I bought a cheap Titantium 125 from Harbor Freight (~$200) Flux Core welder, capable of up to 3/16" mild steel, I've since built a front bumper and bedrack, and tons of other small projects... It was super easy to learn and saves a ton of money not having to pay for custom bumpers.

Hit me up if you have any questions, or questions about the welder

Both good ideas. We have trailers, but enjoy the convenience of not hauling them. Thought about a roof rack on the topper, might be the next investment!

If I had my own shop, I'd maybe pull the trigger. But I also don't have a ton of projects that I would use it on unfortunately. Maybe use it once a year if I was lucky!

You might want to check with @STravis on here. He builds rear high clerance bumpers with swing outs.
