So I'm working on blacking out my truck...hit the corner lenses with tinted spray, ordering blacked out headlights, leave the grille chrome or black that out, leaving just the yota emblem and V8 or black it all out? Including the mirrors?

All this stuff really just comes down to personal preference. Because your rig is already black, I'd leave the grill. If it were another color, I'd black out the grill, as I've done on my rig.

Yeah and the contrast does look awesome. I was into WJ grand Cherokees for a few years, and used to personally like white ones, blacked out the grills and got aftermarket smoked angel eye headlights for them. My buddy has a ranger that's silver and he's got smoked headlights and blacked out grille. Looks great. Not sure how I feel about the chrome strip on the bumper but the two in the grill probably wouldn't look bad if left there

    Looks nice..

I'd leave the grille, black out the mirror covers, and remove the door badge.
Maybe remove the V8 badge off the grill, it just pops off from what I remember..

    I'd like to see the blacked-out headlights..

Is the rear bumper black or chrome?

I would black out the mirror caps and the bumper strip, and probably de-badge it. Good lookin truck though.

I'd also ditch the chrome but it's really your call. You could always start with Plasti-Dip that way you can reverse it if you hate it.

Like this? I used color match paint to conceal the chrome bar on the bumper (it's easy when it's black!).

    IMG_2630_LI (2).jpg
I was lucky (ha!) enough to have my chrome bumper rust into dust, so I ordered a primed replacement and painted to match. I've since de-badged as well. The next project is to tackle the chrome step bar. I'm not sure whether to paint the side mirrors or just buy some that are already painted. I'm not terribly fond of the starfish wheels, but I REALLY DON'T LIKE (cringe) black starfish wheels. So they will be the last thing, if ever, I complete. I can't justify a grand or more for Method or TRD wheels as a vanity project. But to each their own...

I can't remember the brand, think Dupli color has the spray cans you can spray it on see if you like it, and if not it peels off. Then you can try it few days see which way you like it personally.

Your truck would pop with some tacoma or some 4runner rims. Just a touch of chrome on these. Came from a tacoma. Can't remember the specifics rn

I'm definitely planning on replacing the rims at some point, but I just disliked the silver starfish look so much that a cleaner gloss black seemed a good temporary solution. I do have access to the 17's that came in these trucks but figured my tires are currently in really good shape so I'll run them till they aren't then make a decision on where to go from there.
