Last year I picked up a Cover Craft windshield sunshade and a Carhartt dash cover.
So far I'm happy with both. I live in So Cal where it doesn't get that hot, but on warmer days I can def. tell a difference.

I'm going to be making a few trips to AZ this summer & fall.
I've seen people make those home-made reflective window coverings out of that 'reflectix'???, silver insulating material (1/4" thick or so) that they sell in a roll at hardware stores etc. (Make a slightly oversize template, trace/cut and press in place), and use them on the drivers / passenger side windows.

My question is it really worth it? Does it make that much of a difference?
My DC truck has light ceramic tint on all 4 windows & windshield . . . would doing the side windows help with the oven effect when it's parked in the AZ sun ?

    TIA.

They do help, anything does out here, it’s also nice for camping, almost a blackout in the morning.
I have these under 50 for the fronts

Reflectix is good for sure. Here in AZ good quality tint is best. Some of the higher end has good UV blocking that keeps out the heat

I'm in Vegas and they make a huge difference. I park outside a lot of the time so it's worth every penny.

I’m thinking of purchasing a full set, how is the fitment? Do they line up pretty well with not much lighting coming through?

They fit perfectly with basically zero light coming through.

I got a full Weathertech kit …mainly for a early am departure I run the rear door inserts in place and the kiddos zzz a lot longer ….I try to cover as much ground as I can before …my wife and I turn into snack servants for the little humans in the back seat….they are also pretty nice when we get a movie going …that’s when I let her drive and I sit in the back with the kids

    Lots o’ mods
I have the Weathertech six-piece kit for my 2010 DC, and the Heatshield Store six-piece kit for my 2001 AC (Weathertech doesn’t make a full kit for that model/year). Personally I think the Weathertechs are a more precise fit, but the HS set works just fine. I’m a big proponent of covering all the windows - it does make a difference.

My truck lives outside and will sit for long periods. I bought the full WeatherTech set and have been very happy.

I use weathertech daily while parked at work. I park with the front pointing due east and put in the weathertech shades on the passenger side windows only. That covers most of the day except for the afternoon where a tree provides shade from the sun. I have noticed a Dramatic difference in cabin temperature.
