I’m wonder how big of a lift and what all needs to be done to be able to put 34.8 tires on a 2000 tundra with no rubbing on anything. i already have the wheels and tires which the wheels are 16x10 with a -38 offset and the tires are 315/75r16 which is 34.8x12.4 in inches

Without a serious lift kit (Like the sub bracket lifts), you are pretty much only able to lift it 3 inches. If you plan on going that route, 3 inches will clear if you do a lot of cutting.

There are some videos on youtube on what to cut.

I had an 01 with a 5" lift and 3" body lift. 35x12.5r18 only had a minor rub when full lock to the left.
    No cutting

Probably important to list cabs in this thread, y'all.

We have guys with double cabs who have the exact same lift as access cab trucks, and the access cabs are able to clear more tire with lesser or zero rub.

The double cab is a distinctly different beast, with what seems like more tire limitations, if we go by direct member experience.

2000-2002 only had standard cab and access cab, double cab is 03-06.
OP has a 2000 so we be talkin bout 1st gen 1.0, not the fancy 1.1 (03-04 DC wit upgraded transmission) or extra fkin fancy ass 1.2 (05-06 DC wit VVTI and new transmission).
I'm guilty though, I went from a 2000 to a 2001 then to the extra fkin fancy ass 2005 DC VVTI. Regret it though, should have kept my 01

Whew 16x10’s. I’d suggest some coil overs of your choice, Spc upper control arms, solo lower control arms, and getting the BFH and sawzall out

that upper and lower control combo are gonna give you the most adjustability. As long as you can find a shop that knows what there doing

I was on 18x9 rims, I don't remember the offset. I can't say if 16x10's would work without rub

I've got 33.9 x 11, 3in Toytec up front with SPC control arms on a 05 double cab. I rub frame at the rear of the front tire. You need a lot of lift to pull off the tires you want. I had to cut the side steps back to clear these as well.

Probably be better off with long travel and fiberglass up front:anonymous:

also out of curiosity who makes the wheels?

I think @shifty` is right about the differences between the models. I don't think you are far off on the LT and fiberglass. I'm very confident stuff will need to be cut. And, I can imagine the front fenders will be bumps stops at least one time if not modded hard.

This was my 01. 5" tuff country lift, 3" body lift, camburg upper control arms.
37x12.50 20x10 rim don't recall offset. They rubbed in quite a few places when you turn the wheel.
I purchased the truck like this.

    image000000_01.jpg

35x12.5 18x9.5 rim. They rubbed the frame a bit at full tilt to the driver's side

The offset will play a major factor in whether or not you have to start cutting things.

No rubbing on anything? Sell the 315’s and run 285’s on a 6” bracket lift.

Trust me, it’s gonna be bad! I’m one of the very few dumbass’s who tries to wheel 35’s on 3” of lift. Our wheel wells aren’t meant to fit 35’s.

The Tundra has higher resale value so it stays home nice and safe whenever Casper is out doing dumb shit (90% of shit men do qualifies as something dumb)
