    Hello everyone, first time posting.
Just picked up a 2001 access cab tundra with the 4.7.

I have a funny problem I haven't been able find or read about anywhere else. I had a p1128 code for Throttle control motor lock. Looks like previous owner had their hands on it trying to diagnose as well. Reset TPS position with scanner as it was way off and also am getting what seems to be good readings from the APPS or pedal position sensor. Now when I start the engine the pedal cannot be moved, as in the throttle motor will hold the throttle blade closed. With a scanner I can see at idle roughly 12% motor opening to maintain idle and when I push on the pedal the motor will switch to something like 33% closing. Now unplugging the APPS and starting the engine I am able to move the throttle blade freely as the throttle motor is no longer acting on it. A snap of the throttle and I get a stumble and too much will make the engine die. Throttle body is clean and able to move freely with the engine off. I also tested the throttle motor with a power probe by applying power to the motor clutch and the motor itself and the throttle blade snaps open and shut every time I apply power. When the engine is running and I push hard on the pedal I can overcome the throttle motor and get the p1228 code but I try not to as it is fighting back and i dont want to break it. At that point the motor no longer tries to move the throttle blade but the engine still stumbles with a blip of the throttle.

Long post but kinda hitting my head against the wall on this one. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you, I checked that one out. I ended up ordering a whole new throttle body assembly with the 2 sensors and the tcm. It was cheaper buying as a unit than one at a time. Figured I'd start fresh. Unfortunately leaving town and wasn't able to install it. Next week though there will be an update!
