Smelling fuel when I first start up or just sitting while idling for awhile. No fuel dripping when turned off…anyone seen this before. It’s been doing this for a long time.

Mine seems to be running a bit rich on startup and then smooths out after warming up. Probably a choke-like function for cold starts the computer does?

Mine only happens when I fill the tank, but goes away at 3/4 of it.

I've always smelled gas, usually after fill up, or when it's hot...I thought it was the fuel evap valve, or something like that, because sometimes it would throw a P0443 code. Turned out that the tank was rusting through under the straps.

Fortunately not their issue, 05-06 trucks switched to a plastic tank.

Same here. I think it just runs rich when at idle.
