I'm not much of a build thread guy, but I wanted to post some pics and say thanks to some folks who provided some parts along the way.

She's nicknamed the Tunny by my 3 year old and is a 2016 Sr5 Upgrade CM MGM. I started to add some things a few weeks back.

I got her tinted 20‰ fronts and 50% windshield a few days after purchase. Also added some weathertech in-channel visors.

Installed Tuffy console insert from 4wheelpartd. It's not a full safe, but I doubt a smash and grab will have the tool needed to bust the side walls of the console. I need this to temporarily store items when my right is circumvented.

Works well with the OCD tray and divider from Salex.

Here she is after installing 5100s all around. The fronts are set to middle with a shim from CMLenny. One set of Shocks are from TundraCM16. Another set from the other forum. This got me level.

Fresh off the lift at Discount tire with Method NV and 295/70/18 Ridge Grapplers (remove front flap) You can also see the Undercover Flex tonneau. The bed rails are no longer functional and I regret paying $200 for them; should have gone the Unistrut route.

My kid saw me park in the driveway through the window and she screamed that her Tunny has black star wheels and went out to see and touch it ☺

Ordered GoRhino RB20s from SVCUSTOMS. Was packed well and I like it quiet a bit. I still need to align it, but it's not bad considering I was installing this in between pts out back in 80 degrees with dress clothes ☺ Took about 40 min total. Nice and wide step that I hope can also function as a door ding protector.

Hefty brackets.. Though I wish they painted the u-bar/channel to match. These are lined up in the front to back order during installation.

    Here she is currently.

I swapped all the interior and backup lights to led's but don't have pics. She also has a viper 2-way remote start; I love the range. There might be a few other things I forgot, but that's the Tunny. Thanks again to those who sold me parts, the forum for knowledge and for taking time to view this thread.

Hope the pics show with the img tags.

Sweet list of mods!!! Do u have to remove the center console to install that safe?

Which bakflip is that? Mine rests against the cab when it's up and I don't like that. I like how yours stay away from the cab.

    Keep up your build thread!

Thanks guys. I did hours of research before deciding each addition. I need the most effective mods to be the most effective mall crawler. I have my sights on the Mall of America trail, but I might have to get a winch installed before tackling that on.
Sorry, meant to say Undercover Flex. I wish I could use the bed rails at times though.

Also, the Tuffy inserts into the console and bolts down (4) at the bottom. It's essentially a skeleton with a metal lid. Only way in would be to smash the sides of the console with a sledge. I like it more than the other safes because I can use both the divider and the tray.

I got it from 4wheelparts.com and opted for the key vs tumbler because of the latter being difficult to see in lowlight conditions. I wouldn't want to turn on the white leds in cabin and draw attention. Also, if you have the tray, push down the finger latch on the lid a tad so the tray seats properly.

Finally had an hour to myself in the morning and installed the Frac harness by TundraTex. This allows input to the Navigation while in motion and adds a front camera..

I used this camera from Amazon and fits into the Toyota logo.

I cut off the top nipple on the passenger side firewall and snaked my wiring through.. The wire was long enough that I was able to keep the rca connection in the cabin vs in the engine bay.

This is where I grounded the camera. Behind the passenger kick panel. First pop off the door sill plate and then remove the kick panel.

Removed the dash panel for ease of fishing the wire to the head unit. Removed the bottom aux/cig panel then removed the a/c controls. Both panels held by clips.. Then the head unit via 4 bolts.

Attached the Frac harness and connected the front cam and accessory wires to both switches.

I installed the vinyl switch in the bottom panel and the camera toggle switch by the break controller.

All put back together and working.. Love this mod.. Thanks for the ingenuity @TundraTex!

Installed my radar detector under the rear view mirror. Used a blend mount and a telephone wire to tap into the mirror harness. Red and green on the phone wire connects to the blue and white/black wire on the mirror harness for power and ground respectively. I used small computer connector pins to make the connection.

Nice and discreet and no long wires to hide and tuck. 7fdfc84f1ac33640055a13684b2a7ec9_0fe700f3f70358cfb0ba463b9b8c131ed6c6e480.jpgd27956eba472039ccd5c4f882a8061aa_25d596115f90dbec7af24f6ed1bfda1173d87f28.jpg

Thank you. My first truck and I'm taking it slow.
The undercover flex attaches to the factory bed rails and renders them useless for tying up cargo. I regret buying them when I could have just bought unistrut rails from home depot for the fraction of the cost.

    --------------------------------------------------------------

Got the 8" dirtydeeds cat back delivered today. Installed it in the driveway after work with the help of my 3 and 1 y/o girls (they carried the exhaust under the truck for me). I haven't installed the resonator yet and it took about 45 minutes and fit and finish is good..

Here's the very first start.. Love having remote start. She's sounding nice.

How come i've never seen your thread before??? That is one sweet looking rig!

How do you like the weathertech channel visors? They look sleek and fits to the truck really well. Very "low profile" in my opinion. I'm thinking about getting some. Do you recommend?

Thanks and I like them a lot. No whistle and does it's job.. The front goes all the way down the window vs stopping at the side mirror; personal preference. I like this design because it keeps all the water out. As with all in-channels, the fit is tight and the fronts could use a thin double sided tape to make the fit perfect.

Viofo A119 dash cam installed. Bought from Amazon and is rated highly for a budget cam due to its design and capacitor battery (lasts longer in heat). Look up YouTube user CarCamCentral for reviews if you're interested.
    20170802_110005.jpg
I was going to do a detailed install, but this user did such a great job that I'm just linking his install.

I bought a low profile mini fuse tap (different from the original that is pictured) and tapped into one of the 10 amp fuses in the driver side Footwell. The lid covering the fuse box will no longer fit.
