Hey yall, I was wondering why my cargo light never turns off unless I press the button every single time I drive
Am I just missing something or just pull the fuse?

I pulled the fuse on mine after my battery died. The cargo light will not go out if you accidently leave the drivers door not fully closed on my 06 double cab. I walked away at the golf course with my door in safety catch position. Four hours later battery was dead.

They somewhat improved cargo lamp action by the time 04 came around. It appears from your 2000 Owners Manual, you have to turn it off manually. If you wish to simply remove the fuse, it's the 5 amp CARGO LP fuse by driver kick panel. It also says it should go off once you're driving ?

Yeah I've pulled my fuse but it would be nice if it works
