But anytime it hits the .50 increment it has to change to fiddy. The buck fiddy store. The two fiddy store.

Okay, I wasn't clear. The 'slippery' I'm talkin about takes place between your feet, and sandal. They grip the ground surface great. All rubber straps, so your feet literally slide right out of em. That's how they become anklets
If you go to their little factory, for a fee, they will replace the soles, straps, or pads while you wait. You can also have them made custom with different colors, strap materials, sole thicknesses, stiffness, etc. and for the life of the sandal. It's an awesome family ran company that's old as dirt.

Yeah were were just gonna squeeze a ".25" up in there.
But it would be "dollar 'fiddy' tree. There-in lies the problem. They put 'Dollar" and 'Tree' too close together
I just find it hilarious that they're marketed as croc nuts. I mean, the ad could've read "Let your nuts hang anywhere you want, all nuts come with a clip, possibilities are endless!" But NO, these are exclusively for Crocs, and look @alb1k, the mamazon ads...

These are the dangers that I speak of, the straps are pure rubber, and soles are pure foam rubber. Did not take much to pop the straps out of the soles, especially wet. In fact, it would happen several dozen times on a good day
@des2mtn I did see that Flojo is still around and the flip flops look decent. I only knew about these disasters

That's awesome. Sadly, the only factory I went to while we were over there was the old G&S factory. At least once or twice a year they'd have a b-grade sale where you could get blemished decks and blanks for way less than shop prices. I think the first time my brother got a blank and I got something with a cartoony looking octopus on it - maybe Bill Tocco? 2nd time around we both got Neil Blender decks, the coffee one and the one with faces, IIRC. I also had a finger deck with the coffee guy, but I think it was grey and black. It's been a while. I dunno if G&S still exists anymore in the skate world.

Don't quote me on this, but I think G&S went under a LONG time ago. Based on when I stopped seeing their products, I'd say late 80's/early 90's. It's strange when companies drop out when they seem to be doing well. If I were to guess I'd say it happens from being bought out by competitors. Not sure about G&S but I've definitely seen it happen with other companies. Matter of fact, I've heard that bigger corporate companies have tried to buy out Rainbow, and they are dead set not willing sell out. At this stage, it's not about the money to them. I can't explain the vibe in their little shop, but it's really frikkin cool.

I've got 5 days left to get my shit together to take the boy to university in HI. And then 5 days there. So no cakes needed before the end of the month. But, several 1st gens have my cell, and I'm sure I will be in touch.

About 8 hours in on the 10 pounders at 225. Middle one hit 205 about 9 hours, other two should be done in about an hour.

They'll be in the cooler to rest until the party at noon.

To make you feel better this nearly all based on card spending and about 2 flights a year.

So I'm not sure that's better lol

Mine’s all but-in-the-seat miles flown. Thankfully the spend is from a corporate card. Nice to get to keep the miles though. Used a chunk to book first class flights for my son and his fiancée on their honeymoon coming up.

Yup. This is us in a nutshell. We don't pay for the kids most of the time. My better 3/4 is platinum from work travel, Delta has paid for us to take the kids all over the place. Next stop for us is the Northern Europe w/o kids, then Costa Rica w/kids. It used to be me with the medallion when work constantly flew me overseas to our HQ in the earlier 2000s. At least one of us can carry it on now I'm not in the air as much.

I've gotten to the point I really hate planes, but I really like traveling, eating new food, seeing new stuff, etc. Bittersweet.

    @Jack McCarthy

I mean, I have a sneaky suspicion that someone on here probably has some springs they'd cough up for you if you need 'em. If we're using the same terminology for strut spacers, they're a glorified body lift, essentially a shim between the strut and the strut tower. No change to the suspension geometry with that. I'm just not sure if you'll get what you need based on what you're saying.

Well, I have noticed that my camber has slowly gone out of alignment to the point it can't be fixed and I have the cam bolts adjusted for the most positive camber (at least on one side). I'm thinking replacing the torn LCAs may help but if they don't I was prepared to put in the strut spacers to see.
