Hey all, first post here. I have a potential issue that I could not find any info on.

I'm currently doing a front end rebuild on my 2000 Tundra SR5. I ordered an OEM steering rack from YotaPartsDirect. When it arrived it was turned almost completely to the right so I grabbed some vice grips and a towel to turn the pinion and center the rack.

While turning it one of the rubber caps where the PS lines connect shot out along with some fluid. The fluid is a light tan color and feels oily. I attached a picture of the hole I'm talking about.

Do these racks come pre-filled with PS fluid this color? Is the rack defective and leaking gear oil? Or is it something else entirely? If anyone has experience with these racks and has any info/ideas I would appreciate it immensely. Thank you.

    It's good
The rack had oil in it and oil pushing out when it is cycled is normal. If you were cycling the other way, it would have pushed out the other hole.
