Wanted to give my experiences with this company/product so far. Maybe to help make the decision easier for someone else.

I placed my order for the sliders over the phone with Jason on 6/10/22. He was nice enough to offer a bonus discount for Father’s Day also! I received a few emails from them along the way just letting me know of progress and when they were off to powder coating.

I was overjoyed to get the “your sliders are ready for pickup” email on 8/2/22. A week ahead of the original quoted 8-10 weeks.

After installing them today I must say the fit and finish is spectacular. I was able to install them by myself in my driveway with a jack and jack stands in about 2 hours. The powder coating is a textured satin black and feels like they will have some grip. Even the hardware is grade 8.

They poke just a bit less then my +25 295/70/18s. Overall I could not be happier with the experience I had from the customer service to an outstanding product made right here in the USA.

I’ve had the whole family stand on them without any flex! I’m confident they will offer much protection.

Those look great. Do they extend all the way to the rear wheel well?

Those do look very nice on your rig, I'm looking at going w/the same brand. Just a couple of questions for you...

What thickness did you go with, and have you had any issues w/having them open (no plate on the top), reference someone using it as a step and having a foot get caught? My wife needs some kind of step to get in and out comfortably and wanted to make sure her feet don't end up caught in the rails...

Any issues w/rocks bouncing up through openings and bangin' up the paint???

Finally, when you did your install, did you end up drilling and bolting them into the frame, so they'd be a true slider? Or, did you do the "hybrid" install on them and just bolt into existing holes??

That's pretty good coverage. For the price these are looking like a good option.

I believe the round tube is .120 but the square tube is a bit thicker. I bought them mostly as a step also for the kids and wife. They constantly remind me as to what took so long. No issues with footing or open space between rails. The textured powder coating is a nice touch.

I have noticed the truck gets much dirtier in the rain now with the rails. Not much for rocks or paint chips.

Lastly I should add to my OP. I did the initial install with only the 4 bolts per side into existing holes in the frame. I have since drilled the other 8 holes up through the bottom of the frame and installed the remaining bolts. (This was a 2 day and 5-6 drill bit hot shavings showers kind of a mission!)

Thanks for the update. Yeah, even there own instructions say drilling them in can be a beast. I don't want to attempt that lying on my back, so I was thinking of hanging them first as steps. Then once I can get to a place where I can rent a lift (nothing like that here), it would be my intention to complete the job.

Since you set them first in the factory holes, my last question for you would be... Did you have to remove them in any way to complete the rest of the frame install, or were you able to just drill w/them in place and finish securing them???

I did loosen the side bolts only a touch in order to tighten the bottom ones first. Hope that makes sense

If your looking for a great stepping platform check out there rock crushers. They use all square tubing rather than round tube. I’m sure you could add some skateboard tape for even better traction in wet conditions

I added the demello rock crusher sliders to my bumper order last week. I bought some cobalt step bits for the rail bolts so hopefully they serve me well. Probably wont be til the end of the year for my stuff to arrive.

It does... I'm just thinking jack stands and floor jack for the ground level initial setting of them, and then once I can elevate the truck finish it off.

I just didn't want them to have to come completely off once the truck is up in the air; I'm too old to be trying to turn wrenches while holding them things in place

Thanks again and have a good rest of your weekend!!!

Try these out of you can: https://drillhog.com/collections/st...set-m7-unibit-pig-steel-m60-lifetime-warranty

I used a lift to hold the sliders in place, center punch to start the bit in the right spot, and the 1/2" bit took less than a minute per hole to drill out. Drilled the holes with the sliders in place, then cleaned up the hole and painted before installing the bolts.

Maybe it's because I have yet to see these in person but is there an issue with drilling the holes underneath while the sliders are installed with just the side bolts?

No issues, as long as the sliders are flush against the frame. Check for any lines running inside the frame first, if you haven't looked in a while.

That is exactly what I did about a week after first installing them on just the side bolts
