Trying to do my own maintenance and found this "Lubricate Propeller Shaft (4wd)" every 5,000 miles, which I've never done.
After much digging, I found a diagram of lubrication points stating:

    Grease Grade:
Propeller shaft (Except double-cardan joint): Lithium base chasis grease NLGI No. 2
Double-cardan joint: Molybdenum disulphide lithium base chasis grease NLG No. 2.

Here's what I found at my local shop will this work?

    https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/c/synpower/valvoline-14-1-ounce-full-synthetic-multi-purpose-grease/val2/985

    https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/c/valvoline/valvoline-14-1-ounce-moly-fortified-multi-purpose-grease/val0/633

Do I need to use 2? If you just used one, which one? I hate grease guns I always make a mess, and I've never had much luck swapping out canisters so I'd probably need a gun for each one?

What year truck? Sounds like a first gen... I always just use whatever grease I have on hand. Grease is grease in my opinion. I use the same grease for all the zerks

I use Lucas red n tacky no 2 for everything and nothing has fallen apart yet. I also only do this annually of every 15k miles because if you add grease every 5k it’ll sling everywhere eventually IME.

so maybe the non-moly general purpose valvoline I linked would be a good option?

There's a spec on page 526 of your owners manual - Lithium base chassis grease, NLGI No.2. Anything that meets this spec is good. I use Mobil 1 Synthetic Grease.

I have 2020 tundra crew max 4x4. I am at 20k miles. Bought it with 10k miles. I keep seeing lubricating the propeller drive shaft. However I check and do not see any zerks. Is the propeller drive shaft sealed on 2020 generation?
