Hey LT Gang. I've just been in contact with someone who maybe able to create a fender liner for those who have aftermarket front fenders. I just put the order in and should have them in about 6 weeks. I'll post pics once I have them in hand/mounted. Hopefully this is a good solution to keeping the intake port clear of debris etc.

Yea we’ll see how they do. I need something up here with all the rain. Water gets in there and soaks the filter even with a filter sock over that rubber velocity stack. Ask me how I know lol.

Right there with ya, I have had a little success with modifying the OEM liners. I don't have anything sticking into the wheel well though, just the intake hole.
I see a lot of guys move to a cone filter that's completely inside the engine bay.

Yea that’s plan b is something like that maybe utilizing the Stillen ram air intake portion and add an elbow to the box. We just need a bit more room lol

A couple of friends, @jc153 and @osidepunker have a 90* silicone elbow inside the wheel well with a metal sleeve inside the elbow to prevent it from collapsing under WOT. I tried that but @joonbug found it in the trail, twice. My tire doesn't have the same clearance I guess. @Vizsla clued me in to the spacer that goes between the OEM bump stop and frame that I don't have. My wheels have already reshaped/clearanced the wheel wells so it's a little late for me to install the spacer and reduce compression travel at this point.

Yea, the major concern for me is rain in the wheel well. If the liner does rub (we will see) then the tube wouldn't work for that exposure. Elbow in the engine bay then pulling cooler air from another location etc.

Just received tracking we’ll see how it pans out. After thinking it over I’m planning on redoing the whole intake since I plan on doing more clearancing in the wheel well. But I’ll use it until then. I’ll post pics after I have them

Probably won’t keep the liners after that. Oh well. Thinking something like this below

UMP makes a really nice, baller, intake if you have the wherewithal to figure out the plumbing.

I have been planning on putting a ump box on my truck. I don’t typically lead runs, so I will be in a lot of dust. I usually have a nice thick layer of dirt in my air box. Umps are huge though.

I wish DK made inner fenders for our trucks. Their Chevy ones are sick.

Was there ever an update on the fender liners for our trucks?
