I cannot believe this is actually a legitimate question. Can an airplane take off on a treadmill?

Perhaps the education system is failing us after all. I mean, look around, kids and adults alike are practicing no poop July challenges on tiktoks and doctors have to warn that it's dangerous and can lead to problems. It is depressing.

I had to do the same with an ‘88 Chevy Nova (rebadged Toyota Corolla) when I lived in El Centro, CA when the temps would get above 105. I’d roll down the windows and turn the heater on full blast to keep the engine from overheating. Man, it was hot! I remember it getting up to 124 degrees one day. I only lived there for a few years in the mid-90’s, but I had never experienced life-threatening heat like I did when I lived in that part of the country. Many years later, I drove across Needles, CA on a family road trip to Disneyland when it was 119 degrees outside. We were in my Tundra with the A/C on - no problem with overheating whatsoever.

Did that Nova have A/C or no? Those were actually good cars in their time, at least in my opinion...

Yes, it had A/C, but the A/C struggled when it got real hot. It was a decent little car, but it constantly had overheating problems in that climate. It did okay driving in Florida and the Mississippi Gulf Coast, where it gets hot and humid, but the heat in the Imperial Valley is at a whole other level, and that little car’s radiator just couldn’t handle it.

So it blew cold, but it was kind of weak, and desert heat caused the radiator to boil over...

Yeah, that heat was something else. To top it off, the low was still hot and wouldn’t go below 100 at night. It was 3 weeks of intense heat. But the Fall, winter and Spring were awesome. I just remember having to turn the heater on during the high summer temps to keep that little car from overheating.

I remember the old myth of turning the AC off to save fuel. It migth actually save fuel but it is so minute that it doesn't really matter. They tired to save tonneau covers saved fuel too. I have dumped pepper in a radiator though to temp stop or slow a leak.
