What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Installed a Pedal Commander today. Easy plug and play install.

It definitely has an influence on throttle response. I started out at City +2 and settled on City 0. I think it handles shift points smoother than stock when you find your sweet spot... Interesting gadget

Love it. Much happier with the weight of the Falkens now, and it put towing to just a step above stock. Around town, fabulous! Fun, yet practical, especially with the powertrax grip pro. Without it I could see it being a little too much especially in wet weather. Highway is great. It is much happier and runs ~2200 @ 70mph, ~2300 @ 75mph. Just sits in 6th and pulls. No more downshifts or hunting.

 

I’m considering the same except I have to rip the old hack job out… that’s the part I’m most on the fence about paying someone to do.

 

Toyota paid the rental fees of their 2021 Tacoma loaner/rental for most of the 8 months.
Insurance paid for 1 month.
That was my only saving grace...

 

Wow. I wish I could have seen what I ran over. You have a big tire so maybe if you had stock tires it may have damaged your rim..

 

Looks awesome! Do you have stock suspension? I'm gonna need tires in the next year or so and was wondering how tall of a tire I could fit. Thanks.

 

I installed a set of bed stiffeners today. These are not NO drill though.

Finally finished the center shifter surround with the three switch panel for the grille light bars, back window switch and the FRAC camera switch. Special thanks to my coaches, @RainMan_PNW and @TRDFerguson, who helped me overcome my incompetence. Casey and Jake are really rockstars who answered all my stupid questions. While it was torn apart, I sprayed clear matte around the shifter to reduce the glare.

It was plug and play

except I had to trim the larger piece underneath to fit my fat switches.

Tonight we will see if the switches are properly tied to the illumination circuit.
Chrome be gone!

Trimming underneath for the switches is common. I have the AOB switches and I had to open mine up as well.

 

How do you get the 4 rear transmission skid nuts back in with the cat guards in the way?

If you flip the rear window switch around, it feels more natural operating it with your booger hook. You get over the word Auto being upside down because you don’t have to actually look at it to operate it.

 

I saw that you had done that and I saw where you explained it to others. Debated doing that but was told that it would look "stupid".

The one in my '08 doesn't bother me that much. But, I hate the position of the freakin thing in my '21; it shouldn't be that big of a deal, but it drives me nuts!!!!!

 

Plus as bright as the camera button is, he'll never see the writing on the window button!
