My son has to work tomorrow which means I'm watching Gkids all day...So.. I'm going to do a 8 pounder on my Weber. Marinating now. Added some Alabama piss to the marinade/rub. Rib eyes can wait another day....

8 hours on the Weber at a pretty low temp?

Got me a pork shoulder and turkey breast to smoke tomorrow. Will be my first turkey breast so hope it comes out good. Will work on the truck while the meat smokes. Gonna add some dust lights and do some more wiring.

Did you do a rub on the pork and turkey?
    What did you use?

I rub mustard on the pork shoulder and season with an off the shelf pork seasoning mixed with some brown sugar and Cajun spices. The turkey breast was pre seasoned with Cajun. Will post pics when it's done

Ground beef & pork, cheddar cheese, sliced jalapeños, sliced red& green onions, wrapped in a dry-rubbed bacon weave (with extra bacon for support).
300ish for 3ish hrs (165-170 internal temp). Bout 30 min of prep time. Pretty tasty if ya don't have time for a proper shoulder.

I'll be starting a Lipitor and lisinopril regimen around 6pm.

5 hours + 2 more with Kingsford foil wrap. Doing the cool off period. I did a small sample. Couldn't resist. Nice smoke ring, very juicy and tender, decent enough bark. Going to take a nap and then pull..

Came out pretty good. Smoke ring was over 1" in some areas. I'm kind of beat. Was 95 today I think. Way too much sun. I don't even want a beer....

Looks great to me. Used a weber kettle? Use mine often for smoking single buts and one or two rack of ribs.

Yeah a 22"Weber. First time I've done a pork shoulder on it. I've done brisket which is somewhat easier. Was a little hard at first keeping the temp down but I finally figured that out. I need to work on the bark too. Pork shoulders are so freaking big. Practice makes perfect. Very pleased with the Weber. I have two smokers but wanted to see how the Weber does. It's become my favorite. Want to eventually get the wood fired pizza upgrade kit. Only way to do pizza IMHO.
