With a lot of inspiration and research from TundraTex and others around the Interwebs, I'm looking forward to putting together my audio build. I had a tight budget and wanted to try to pull this together for +/- $500. Depending upon how the sub box fits, it might just work out.

From eBay, I found a Rockford Fosgate R600X5 5-channel amp. It's a brand new amp that comes with a complete 4 gauge wiring kit for $269 - about $50 less than Crutchfield plus the cost of an amp wiring kit.

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rockford-Fosgate-Prime-R600X5-600W-RMS-5-Channel-Car-Amplifier-Amp-Kit-RCAs/302133153400?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

From Crutchfield, I picked up some Rockford 6.5" components for the front door and some Rockfork 5.25" coaxial speakers for the rear door. The rears I will just use to fill in the sound stage.

The RF speakers have a lot of great reviews, 100+, and both are over 4.5 stars.

For a sub, I'm going to try to fit the Rockford Fosgate R2S-1X10. It's a 10" ported box - I'd prefer sealed, but for the price, it's worth a try. Crutchfield price matched Amazon for $103. It may sound like crap, or not fit, but it's worth a shot. The dimensions are very close to a few homemade boxes, so I'm hoping it'll work and sound OK. If not, I'll build one.

Overall, I'm out the door for $490 thus far. I will order harnesses for the J145/146 connectors from AutoHarnessHouse for $12.50 - close enough to $500.

I'm going to start out without a DSP and see how it comes together. If needed, I can go back in and add one later.

Thanks @TundraTex and others for paving the way. I'll update as I get started.

Besides the JL Audio stealth box Atrend makes Tundra specific. They're affordable. I didn't see what year Tundra you have but theirs goes up to 2014.

On of his post he upgraded the fronts to infinity kappa, left the Rockfords in the rear. Ended up trading his truck in

It was a great setup! I wish I had pulled it all out of the truck before trading it in. The Fix86 made it all go together like a breeze and the Kappa front components were out of this world. The weak link was the Rockford Fosgate Amp - really just needed more power than it could provide.
