Which dealership? I'm not buying one but would like to see one up close. Most dealerships websites are not current.

I’m taking delivery of the lightning and will decide from there. Same dealer said I can order a raptor at msrp when the order bank opens next month. It would be cheaper than that pro.

I really like the tundra and want one still I just couldn’t stare at the cashiers check and justify the 80k for it right now.

I keep wondering If Raptors will sell for MSRP once the Raptor R comes out?

If supply chain catches up, maybe. I just got an August build date that was MSRP in December. They have same truck on the but, 37 package at 119k! With my price protection the Raptor is worth the extra 7k, probably let Pro go.

Raptors can be had at MSRP all day if you order it. It's the ones on the lot that'll cost you. The dealer I'm ordering the Raptor from has a 20 person list for the Raptor-R and they are doing 30k markup on it.

Just came in Friday! No markup. Only about a hundred miles on it since then but this is one hell of a machine. First rough stuff tests were reasonably gentle till I get a feel for this thing, but wow, SO impressive. Have also posted on the new member and 2022 threads. Still trying to get used to the color, which looks better in pictures than it does live. But the truck itself looks better live than it does in pictures (including this one, weird angle). :) Performance, as advertised. Looking forward to some legitimate road (and rough) testing over the coming weeks. But wow. What a machine.

I think I recognize those mountains as home! Grew up right in your area unless the background is playing serious tricks on my eyes. Congrats on the new truck man. Looks great!

Took first road trip in new TRD PRO. Traveled the Blue ridge Parkway from Asheville NC to Waynesboro Virginia. Then took I 81s to I 26 back to Asheville. Average 21.7 mpg for 840 miles trip. I have put on a little over 1600 miles in my first 9 days. Absolutely love the truck. Total mpg for the 1600 miles is 18.6. That includes around town driving plus approx 100 miles of Forest service roads some in 4wd. Could not be happier. Only complaint is the turning radius.

Just to be clear, we were still at msrp (first time in my life :)), but no dealer markup over msrp. In addition, the online msrp had gone up $700 since we made our deposit and we didn’t have to deal with that. The dealer is Precision Toyota in Tucson. I’ve heard they may be doing markups on other stuff, but we got a request in on this one in October, maybe before they knew how crazy it would get. Plus, we talked about it at the time of the reservation, and between my wife and I we’ve done six vehicles with them since 1981 so that may be part of it (and they asked me not to tell anybody :), though I credit that to salesmanship). Anyway, it’s the only solar in their allocation. So nope! And haven’t seen another one in town yet. And I need to do a follow up post: LOVE THIS TRUCK!!!

Thanks! It is indeed an amazing vehicle. I’ve had a few more drives on up to baby head cobbles and deep sand and it just eats it up. Street performance is unbelievable. I haven’t had occasion for extended freeway driving and probably won’t get to that till after the breakin, but I’m looking forward to it. I’ve worked around the lack of storage space caused by having the hybrid battery under the seat, so I’m over that. And it only took a couple days to get over the impact of the neon mango tangerine sensory bomb :) (the ads make it look a lot more subdued believe it or not), and now would not trade this color for anything. Absolutely zero regrets on this.

Not sure if I want to got through with cutting and stuffing on this one, it’s a little hard to swallow doing it to one of these after waiting so long for it and the price tag. Now on the old 2006 tundra…. That’s a different story. Haha I was waiting on wescott to put out that video on the solar octane pro on 37s with the stock wheels no lift but they never did.

I absolutely love the look in Lunar Rock. Looking fantastic! It feels like I haven’t seen nearly as many pics of the Pros in Super White. I know one guy on the forum posted some pics of his white Pro in Tennessee I believe, but they seem to be lagging behind in the pics department on the forum.
