Does this really work?

Discussion in 'Off-Topic Discussion' started by Jernik, Jul 11, 2022.

?

Would you donate to this guy?

  1. Hell yeah! I'd rather give my money to him than one of those phony "homeless" grifters

  2. No way! My donations are only for those in actual need of assistance

  3. My money is MINE! I donate to no one

  4. I only donate to pole dancers

If so, I might have to find some cardboard, markers, and a busy intersection!

Nope. But there are several who would pitch in $1 just for the laugh.

One of the many homeless in my city would hold a “why lie need beer.” He was getting the highest return compared to the others holding “homeless and hungry. Anything helps, God bless”

A person like this…yes. That is actually hilarious. It makes me want to stand on a street corner in business attire next to some of these crack heads to see if I could do better.

    All others…hell no.

In my first two weeks in Colorado I had a guy open my Camaro door started to get in and said “your going to give me a ride.” He never made it all the way in. My 226 suggested otherwise.

I used to help out the homeless and stopped. Most actually want that lifestyle due to a variety of poor choices.

I'll help the homeless by donating to charities and shelters and the like. If they choose to panhandle rather than use those services, that's not my problem.

I've been homeless. Twice. Slept in the truck, on ppl's floors/couches, yeah sucks. Never panhandled. Always got back on my feet because I actually wanted to. I do not give money to panhandlers.

At least I would know my money is going for a solid cause, not meth and alcohol. I wonder if he lost a bet or his wife told him no more money on his ride.

I am a firm believer that modding is a disease, that can only be cured by poverty.

I don't either. We have had people in vehicles get stabbed/killed in their own car from a bum wanting more than the 5.00 bill being offered. There is a reason the forest service has signs everywhere "don't feed the bears"...and we will leave it at that.

Been homeless myself due to not being able to get a contract on multiple homes 4.5 years ago. I had my camper, so not really "roughing it", that's for sure. It was embarrassing though...my coworkers would act like Bubbles on Trailer Park Boys. Fuckers...LMAO.
