I hadn't either until blizz86 and BlueBottle mentioned it in another thread.

I bet both would make the cab stay cooler better. When I'm parked for long periods of timber i don't mind putting them up. If I'm just running in the store for about 30 min I'm probably only putting up the one in front.

Besides that....i work downtown at night and there are always people snooping around the vehicles. This will help I that case too

The CIR ceramic blocks the same % of heat no matter the tint darkness. They make a clear film that blocks the same amount of heat. Check out their specs.

This works for those of us that park a car in the sun for extended hours while at work and don’t have a garage at home. I will use the windshield the most along with right doors mostly.

My truck is tinted and that helps but not as much as the shades. I would love for somebody with the ceramic tint to do the same test for comparison. During the test make sure that the front windshield is pointed south so it gets a direct hit.

I can tell you on an anecdotal basis the ceramic tint significantly reduces heat. Had both vehicles done recently and its a no brainer. The first tint job was a small dark car that made schedule a later install to do the Tundra because it made such a difference. A car temp test like the OP would be nice but I’m not going through all that for you!

No need for you to go through all that just for me.

Perhaps anyone else that may find it interesting and has ceramic tint can make a comparison for us all, much like i did with these covers for the good of everyone here that may thinking about going that route.

It really would be interesting to see which technologies work and which do ok or dont match the manufacturers claims.

I went with the full Weathertech set as well. It's pretty amazing how well they work. Definitely worth the money.

    Still rocking the stock height.
I have been thinking about getting a new sunscreen. I think that I may have to get this set. My trucks sits in the parking lot at work all day and it't hot as all get out when I get in.

They have a request kits for other vehicles page.
I put in for a front kit for a 2013. Need some more 2nd Gen guys to do the same and maybe Weathertech will get with the program.
