Can you post a picture of your dash where the tow/haul button normally would be?

My guess is that if it doesn't have the tow package it didn't come with the tow/haul button. Only a guess though!

You could pop the blank out and see if there is a plug right behind it to make sure.
EDIT: @bobeast brought up a good point, the presence of the connector may not mean anything.

Hopefully someone will chime in with some expertise.

Does your tundra have a transmission fluid temperature gage? If not, your dealer is FOS and yours does not have the heavy duty tow package (which would explain the missing Tow/Haul switch). I wouldn't rely too heavily on whether there is a connector for the switch behind the blank. Toyota likes to use the same harness across trim levels, so a connector there may not tell you what you think it does.

I am guessing that your truck does not have the Tow Pkg and someone installed the 7 pin plug just to tow a larger trailer at the time ? Just a guess.

I don't believe any of the 3rd Gens have trans temp gauges. Something they eliminated.

I just bought a used 2016 SR5, it has a factory tow hitch but no tow/haul mode button. Is this a normal thing for them not to have a tow/haul button?

For newer models, I think the tow package is standard in 5.7 and not even available for 4.6.

Bench seats have tow/haul ass button on the column shifter. Be sure to check there.

Does this go to the tow haul button?
