I took my bushwacker flares off and there's these scratches (scuffs) under every one of them. My truck is going in this week for a wet sand, polish, and wax....What's the best way to prevent these if I choose to put my flares back on?

Bushwackers never came with any weather stripping?

If so, use some OEM weather strip.. I forgot the part #'s I used for my honda lip kits, but it was off a camry(lip kit/body kit).
    something like this:

but definitely get something a lot longer to cover up the whole area.

It looks like he has the weather strip on. Even w the weather strip the vibrations will eventually leave a wear mark. Also to note is that dirt and mud will get back there no matter what. So if you don't want it to happen again either don't put it on or have someone apply clear bra on your fenders before putting it back on.

Yeah they had the weatherstripping, and I'm sure it's totally normal and all, i was just curious what my best method of defense should be in the future.

What kind of businesses do stuff like that? Never really had any kind of paint protection like that on a vehicle before

@graves037 I did a quick search according to your location and found this place. Just to get you started. Go there and tell them your situation and they will help you. Just a heads up it won't be cheap.

Ahhh good ol yelp! Thank you! I'll look into it, but if it's too high, I'm gonna either leave them off or continue searching for other options

Clear 3m vinyl like they put on hoods or the front of cars and trucks you can by a 6" x something roll and cut and put where fenders rub and that should prevent it.

I can second this. My truck came with fender flares. I'm not a fan so it wasn't long before they came off. I had the same marks in my paint and a thick layer of dirt under the flares. After careful washing and use of my Porter Cable, I was able to get most of it out. You can still see the line in the right light, but I was afraid of getting any more aggressive with my pad choice for fear of ruining my paint.
The clear bra is a good idea though if you are determined to put yours back on.
