Hi friends, have a 2008 Tundra SR5 4.7. I have a question about the passenger side buckle and wire harness that bolts to floor and the wire runs under seat and plugs in. The switch that is inserted into the buckle in broke and the chime will not stop going off even with someone seat belted in passenger seat. So I was wondering if I unplugged the wire that runs under seat, would that stop it from chiming and will it affect the airbag on that side? Thanks.

its a seat belt safety feature. Doesn't it get fixed by the dealership for free ?

No, Just talked to them. You don't even need the chime working to pass a state inspection.
