Do we have a part number (and availability) of the TRD PRO front sway bar yet?
20% stiffer than regular from what I read somewhere.

I'd like to firm up my front end just a bit, like I did in my 2017 Tundra (where I ran the Sequoia front sway bar).

It's weird that the TRD Pro swaybar would be stiffer.

    Seems rather counter-intuitive, doesn't it?
I assume PRO has sway bar disconnect links............and if it doesn't? LoL @ TRD PRO then.

    Ohh well,
I'm not spending $500 on a sway bar, no matter what sticker it comes with.
We'll see if the Sequoia sway bar is different than ours (thicker), and if we can do the same trick we did with previous gen.

Its painted red isn’t it? There’s your extra $300 over what it should be. Adds at least 25 hp too. Haha.

    I agree. Very overpriced.

Exactly. My F150 front swaybar is so stiff that, when its connected, it might as well not even have a front suspension. It tosses the cab left and right over every dumb rock.

    Disconnected its smooth.

It's an anti-sway bar not a sway bar. It's designed to prevent sway not cause it

Where did you find that the TRD Pro Front Anti Sway Bar is stiffer?

"the off-road-optimized Tundra TRD Pro, a stand-alone model variant that gets unique, red-painted dual-rate front coil-over springs that raise the front of the truck 1.1 inches to provide even more travel before the springs stiffen up in the last inches of jounce. The shocks get a major upgrade to Fox internal-bypass remote-reservoir units with 2.5-inch-diameter monotube bodies. These big shocks stay way cooler when storming through the desert. The most visible suspension upgrade is a big hollow front anti-roll bar, also painted red, that's about 20 percent stiffer than the standard solid bar."
From Motortrend article (among a couple of othe sources).

It has a rear sway bar, but it is not showing to be different than the rest of the models.

We are probably gonna find that most if not all TRD Pro items overpriced even before location/dealer fluctuated prices.

Is it the same diameter as the normal one too or bigger (and possibly needing different attachment clamps)?

And all the people who didn't buy the TRD Pro in the first place will be tripping over each other to get their hands on the TRD Pro parts. Meanwhile, the TRD Pro owners will buy aftermarket parts and sell off the stock parts to the non-TRD pro owners.

Such is the circle of life. I don't know how many Rubicon take-off parts I've put on XJs over the years. Springs, shocks, etc. One man's "stock" shocks are another man's "extended travel" shocks.

    There's no shame in it.

Hey, I know it, my Lexus GX has 4Runner TRD Offroad wheels and 285/70R17 Wrangler Rubicon takeoffs.

    upload_2022-7-5_15-36-4.jpg

It's just that watching people pay ridiculous markups for TRD Pro's only to strip off all the parts that made them unique in the first place is hilarious. And then the ensuing feeding frenzy for those parts is too. At least someone who buys a Rubicon and puts on bigger tires and upgraded suspension still has lockers, electric swaybar disconnect, 4:1 Rocktrac t-case, and a whole bunch of other parts that are unique and hard to replicate. A TRD Pro without the Fox shocks and wheels is just another truck.

I’ve been reading some of your posts regarding the Fox suspension pieces. I’m also considering a similar route.

Are you going to lift the vehicle more than the stock Pro height? Are the rear coils on the Pro different than the other spring trims or is a spacer used? How are you expecting the ride to be? I’m looking for a sportier ride with more ability to soak up bumps, etc.

I assume the fox front springs alone would provide a 1” lift.

Are the TRD Pro Shocks and struts bolt in....as in does anything else have to replaced to put them in or can they just be swapped out with any Tundra with regular suspension (no AVS etc,)?

@ryanwgregg Did you get around to putting the TRD Pro OR rear fox shocks? found a set locally I'm thinking about buying and wondering if you think its worth it and if there were any problems leaving the stock springs in there that came on the platinum. Same situation I can get the TRD Pro OR rear springs with rear shocks but not sure if they lift the rear or not (springs that is). Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Funny thing too is its the same guy I bought the TRD Pro wheels off of too.

Picked up a set of takeoffs for rear TRD pro fox shocks and they bolted right in no problems at all. Got the springs with them too but not sure if I want to swap those because I do tow but have air bags too so I might. They seem to be the exact same length as the stock platinum shocks. On a quick test drive seems to make a big improvement. Took about 15-20 minutes a side. PXL_20230521_190106986.jpg
