Adding fog lights to a 2006 Gen 1 base model V6

I'm finding Toyota discontinued supplying the dash switch. Bought a kit online which comes with a complete fog lights to dash harness but would rather use the existing harness which came pre-wired.

Fog Lights went in easy. Relay purchased and in. However connector on the new kit doesn't match the factory connector in the dash. My base model does not have the switch on the turn signal. Mine's on the dash, on the left of the instrument cluster light dimmer. The left-most one of the two blanks.

Any source for an OEM new or used original switch? Or, a wiring diagram allowing me to splice the new switch into the existing harness past the OEM connector? Would need to know which colors from the new switch to cut into the existing OEM dash connector colors. The new switch has Red (power) Yellow (relay?) and Black (ground) go to which colors on the OEM connector. The OEM connector has 4 wires which don't appear to be identically matched to the new switch. The plastic connectors don't match for easy insertion.

The switch location to the left of the steering wheel may instead be used for the heated mirrors or rear window.

Also, review your owners manual to confirm the correct location of the foglight control/switch.

It appears the factory moved the fog light function to the turn signal stalk starting in 03, so, if I want to use the factory harness location I'll have to get the matching stalk

I think you'll find the clock spring in the steering assembly is likely already pre-fitted for the wires needed for fog lights and this is plug-and-play, just add the stalk and possibly the business end of the fog light harness if not already tucked away in the bumper area.

I could be wrong, but ... I have it stuck in my head this is the case.

Thanks for the help with the 2006 Tundra Fog Light Installation. In quick summary, bought a "kit" online . Everything was included for $60, that is, the lights, harnesses, connectors, the relay, and the dash switch. Everything you'd need to manually install from lights to dash. When I sought some help however, our Tundra Forum was GREAT. I found out the factory OEM harness already has all the connectors in place! All your need do, is follow the connectors. In my case the lights were the only thing I used from the kit. If you have a 2002 or earlier, the kit provided dash switch will probably find the right connector in the dash.

In my case, I had to purchase a new turn signal stalk for 95 delivered because in 2003 Toyota moved the fog light switch location from the dash to the stalk but the kit furnishes the dash style switch. The $95 new turn signal stalk, looks identical to the Toyota dealer OEM piece which is $300, so best to search eBay/Google/Amazon. The right Toyota part number is

$300 84140-0C050 Dimmer Switch

84140-0C050 and fits 2003 to 2006 but may also be the same part number for later years as well. This less expensive stalk comes in a box with the correct Toyota part number, and may come from the same OEM supplier Toyota uses. Also had to add a Denso (OEM) relay ($11.00) by simply plugging it into the existing fuse box slot (fuse box is under the hood). Toyota even identifies the plug in relay location on the inside of the fuse box cover. The new turn signal stalk plugs right into the existing clock spring connector location, just the original stalk does.

In summary, all you need are the lights, the relay, and the turn signal stalk to make it plug and play for adding fog lights to a 2003 to 2006 Tundra. As I noted above, it may also be this way for 2007 and up Gen 2 models.
