At 13 MPG, I'm guessing you drive mostly in town. You should be getting better if its mostly highway.

The usual tricks apply. Tires properly inflated, engine properly tuned, air cleaner properly clean, and right foot properly trained. There's really only 2 off the shelf tuners out there. BullyDog, and Hypertech. Neither one will likely pay for itself in terms of MPG improvement.

For reference, I'm getting 14.7 on my '08 with the 5.7 (mostly highway)

I've been going easy with my new truck (5.7 CM 4WD) and have not reset MPG yet. At 300 miles, I'm averaging 16.1 in and around Charlotte, NC--about 70% on highway. I have a 2013 Lexus LX570 with 5 speed auto and it gets 19 on hwy, so I don't expect this vehicle will do much better than 17-18 mpg, due to weight difference. I would assume less oxygen at higher altitude would decrease MPG.

Agree with the right foot statement above. Speed, acceleration, weight and under inflated tires are easiest factors to control. My son can get 24 mpg on a long trip in his 2016 Tacoma TRD OR, with easy acceleration and keeping speeds < 72 mph to prevent the transmission downshifting to 5th. It's not rated for mileage that high, but he's done it since it was new.

I average around 12.7mpg but that is with a SC and the 5.7L. I didn't buy the truck for gas mileage. My Titan before the Tundra averaged around the same without an SC and all the horsepower.

Magnuson Supercarger, bullydog gt, fuel cleaver wheels on 33 Terra grapplers, custom royalty core grill, rigid industries LED's(20,30, d-series), katzkin, bilstein shocks, spyder head & tail lights. spyder 3rd brake light, TRD sway bar, corsa exhaust.
The magnuson SC I just added came with a bullydog. It has a "coach" where you can program parameters of gas mileage you're trying to achieve. Having just added the SC I'm testing the added power which isn't helping. With the SC I get 11.5- 12.1 and without the SC 12.7. Good luck with improving gas mileage.
